It’s dirty either way teeing off on somebody’s upper body while they are airborne and not looking and have no way to protect themselves. How is he supposed to know hes going to catch it until he drops it? Theres a way to keep that rule and not be such an after the fact, not in their shoes, second guessing type of call. If it's on the line, I'm fine with letting it go in the playoffs.
RemoveSnyder
It was 27 years ago in 1993 that the Houston Oilers had a 35 to 3 lead on the Bills, in buffalo, before Frank Reich lead a comeback, winning 41 to 38. It was 28 to 3 at the half.
Malapropismic Depository
I'm enjoying this. It would be boring and predictable if all the higher seeds won and cruised through the playoffs Any given Sunday...dude.

Otherwise, some defender you don't see may try to break your ribs to separate you from the ball. that’s not a counterpoint that’s just silly. 3 minutes ago, Renegade7 said: How is he supposed to know hes going to catch it until he drops it? It should be called either way whether they catch the ball or not. You have to stop those hits from occurring on caught or incomplete balls. The point is protecting the player from a cheap shot

abdcskins
Remember the Texans kicking that FG instead of going for it. Momentum. I thought the spot of the ball by the refs was horrible as well, Johnson was only inches away not a full yard.

The point was to stop people from getting free hits on folks, not stop players from being able to play defense. The reality is NFL doesnt want defense, but what is football after that? SkinsGuy
The Chiefs needed that. The only thing as sure as an Andy Reid team imploding in the playoffs is the Texans blowing leads in the playoffs.

Yeah, but if we’re stuck with a Seattle vs Titans SB, that would be some seriously boring ball. Just now, Monk4thaHALL said: You know Mahomes is coming back. this game is FAR from over. If you can score in bunches, like the Chiefs can, this could be a 10 point game in about 5 minutes of game time.
Malapropismic Depository
This type of game, is the whole reason we have the playoffs, as opposed to just having the teams with the 2 best records play in the SB, right after the regular season. The playoffs is a brand new season, and you still gotta earn the right to the Super Bowl. The teams with the best records in the regular season, may not have necessarily played enough really good teams.

I wouldn't be bored. Who doesn't like smash-mouth football ? Isn't that how our Redskins beat the Dolphins ? Birdlives
If there’s one moment to point to IF the Texans lose this game. It will be kicking the field goal on 4th and 1 at the 10.
