Philly's reliever gets pumped up in the bullpen and crushes a redbull can on his body. First pitch he throws, Soto hits a 3 run HR to the exact spot he crushed his can at in the bullpen. Last October brought me so many great moments, attending a couple of the watch parties at Nats park. Another thing overlooked is that Davey Martinez missed the opportunity and honor of managing the National League All-Stars since the game was cancelled. Fans not being able to attend games the season directly following a WS win is just awful. No banner reveal 😭. They can never take away the World Series championship but dammit they took away our ability to fully bask in that accomplishment as fans!!!!! We got the biggest hose of all-time but it’s ok because we will never lose that feeling that we shared watching the 2019 Nats win the WS in the most improbable fashion ever! 5 postseason elimination games, 5 times coming from behind, 5 times victorious! 2021 we can still bask in the glory because that’s the greatest team accomplishment in baseball history given the circumstances & Stras still threw perhaps the greatest postseason EVER.
