Elessar78
I still can't enjoy Louis CK since his downfall. Been listening to Hannibal Burress, recently discovered (yeah, just now) that I think Bill Burr is funny. Nate Bargatze has a funny special on Netflix, he's an up and comer. Any other suggestions? TradeTheBeal!
Patrice O’Neal is the funniest guy of the last 20 years. RIP.

Warhead36
I saw Marlon Wayans perform live at MGM a few months back. It was recorded for Netflix and will be up for streaming later this month. Check it out, he is absolutely amazing.

Spaceman Spiff
I like the new Marc Maron special out. And any of the Chappelle specials.
balki1867
Dave Chappelle’s Netflix specials are pretty good i enjoy Russell Peters but his comedy is highly topical (e.g.: a lot of his humor is about his immmigrant parents adjusting to life in Canada) also if youre just discovering bill burr, google his rant about Philadelphia. also, NO DANE COOK. Not even once.

PokerPacker
Hard to know who you are already familiar with since you're just discovering Bill Burr. May as well add in his Breaking Bad partner: Lavell Crawford. Some other names you may or may not know depending on which rock you've been under: Mike Birbiglia, Pete Holmes, John Mulaney, Bo Burnham, Doug Stanhope, Gary Gulman, Brian Regan, Donald Glover, Aziz Ansari, Kumail Nanjiani Maybe a few of 'em will be new to you and strike a chord. 4 hours ago, Springfield said: Dane Cook Get out
Riggo-toni
To me, Aziz Ansari is awful. Just annoying. Comes off like a 7th grader with adhd. Russell Peters was funny, though I haven't seen any of his newer stuff. Denis Leary had some great bits back in the day, but tends to rip off a lot of other people's jokes/routines. Joe Rogan's "I'm Gonna Be Dead Someday" album was hysterical, but I saw a more recent special, and it was boring as hell.

pjfootballer
I think it’s up to him to determine what’s funny. Everyone is different in what they think is funny. FWIW, He just needed suggestions, not opinions.
JCB
I usually enjoy Patton Oswalt's stand-up. And there's a really great documentary on Netflix called "The Comedians of Comedy," which features Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Zach Galafinakis, and the great Maria Bamford. Lombardi's_kid_brother
If you can get through the first five minutes of getting used to Tig Notaro's style, she's worth it. I love Maron as an interviewer and even an actor, but when I listen to him do standup, I get why he was broke and unknown at age 50 or whenever his podcast took off. The problem with him is his schtick is pretty limited when not doing the whole Indian accent/family stuff.
balki1867
Aziz used to be way funnier. I'm not as big a fan of his 'creepy dudes' schtick. Russell Peters old stuff is amazing (go find Red, White and Brown). His new stuff is good but not quite at the same level (not the same falloff as Aziz). Also, you MUST go find the Russell Peters bit "Beat Your Kids" It's easily findable on youtube- I'm not linking it due to language.
Springfield
Ok, seriously now. Fan of Chappelle. Also Chris Rock, in his day, was great. George Carlin is a great. Robin Williams was pretty great.

balki1867
If we're going older, I'd add Mitch Hedberg to the list. I'd never imagine that I'd enjoy his style but he's amazing. Also I'll go +1 on Sebastian Maniscalco. Pablo Francisco is a another great one. I haven't heard from that guy in years.

NoCalMike
Anthony Jeselnik is pretty good. Always enjoy Brian Posehn. He is probably my favorite of the "nerds of comedy" he just comes off very authentic.
Bang
Mike Birbiglia can be very funny. Ricky Gervais may start up a new podcast, which should be fun. ~Bang
