"Who built the cages" is like a mass shooter blaming gun manufactuers for gun violence.

"I didn't build the guns!"

its one of the dumbest things the right wing lunatics push.

“sir, you’re under arrest. We have video evidence of you burning your neighbors alive using the fire pit in your backyard”

“yeah but that fire pit was already in the yard when I bought the house”

Every deal is different, but often an author with some pull and a decent agent makes between 8-15% from each book. I'd think Trump Jr. would be at the high side just because of name recognition.  If that's true, then it could be as much as 30k. Still, pennies when we're comparing it to the 200 million dollar Trump Pact grift, but not necessarily nothing.

but does this artificially boost sales allowing him be able to claim he is a best selling author for the rest of his life?

Yeah, it's absolutely idiotic.

"Mr. President, why have you instituted a policy of intentionally targeting bombs at civilian populations? Isn't that a war crime?"

"Those bombs were build by the Obama administration"

Trump is in full panic mode. Now he's blatantly just making calls to Republican Governors and asking them to try and overturn his loss in their state.

Trump pressured Georgia governor in call to help overturn Biden's win in state

Quote

President Donald Trump on Saturday called Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, pushing him to convince state legislators to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's win in the state.

Trump asked Kemp to call a special session and convince state legislators to select their own electors that would support him, according to a source familiar with the conversation. He also asked the Republican governor to order an audit of absentee ballot signatures.

Kemp explained that he did not have this authority and denied the request, the source said.

Aren’t all of his phone calls recorded for record keeping purposes?  So a Biden administration could use those records to prosecute him?

Good point. Though I wouldn't be at all surprised if we find out after Biden takes office that a metric ****ton of official records and calls have mysteriously been "lost" or "accidentally deleted".

Granted, that all sounds ludicrously obvious, but Trump and his cronies have never exactly been master strategists, and they've shown themselves willing to do pretty much anything at all in the past.

All Trump records will have been deleted.

There’s an equation that NYT uses to decide their best sellers, but it’s proprietary and they don’t share it. I think there are some guardrails that prevent an author or publisher from buying their way onto the list.

Joe Biden’s Foot Injury Was Much Klutzier Than We Thought

On November 28, news broke that President-elect Joe Biden had broken his foot while playing with his two-year-old dog, Major. But further information about the incident remained scarce until Biden revealed all in a new interview yesterday with CNN, and the details are…pretty goofy.

It all started right after Biden got out of the shower. (Dare we wonder about our next leader’s attire—or lack thereof—at the time?) Major, being a dog, seized the moment to drop a ball in front of his owner. Biden picked up the ball and began to chase after the pup, and that’s when clumsiness took over. “I’m joking, running after him and grab his tail,” Biden told CNN. “And what happened was that he slid on a throw rug. And I tripped on the rug he slid on.”

Pentagon blocks visits to military spy agencies by Biden transition team

The Trump administration has refused to allow members of President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team to meet with officials at U.S. intelligence agencies that are controlled by the Pentagon, undermining prospects for a smooth transfer of power, current and former U.S. officials said.

The officials said the Biden team has not been able to engage with leaders at the National Security Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency and other military-run spy services with classified budgets and global espionage platforms.

The Defense Department rejected or did not approve requests from the Biden team this week, the officials said, despite a General Services Administration decision Nov. 23 clearing the way for federal agencies to meet with representatives of the incoming administration.

The delays came even as Biden advisers spent much of this week meeting with officials at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the CIA, intelligence agencies that are independent of the Defense Department.

Which is likely also a crime, or several crimes, but no one will do anything about it.  Biden has already signaled that he’s opposed to prosecuting Trump.  He’s going to pardon his people and walk away clean.... and continue damaging the country via his cult following.

I can understand him saying that in general during a campaign and usually I'd agree, because in the past most stuff the prior administration did would at best be small potatoes, even if it existed. But this was a goddamn criminal enterprise running for 4 years out of the White House. If they find **** that's bad, they need to follow it IMO.

Remember, part of Bill Barr's application for his job was writing a paper that if he'd been AG, Nixon would have never turned over the tapes.

And we all know that:

1) The Trumpies will try to get rid of all the evidence.

2)  They'll fail at it.

3)  And they will receive no punishment whatsoever.

4)  Including not losing a single bit of support from their base.

Chalk up another L for Trump and the GOP:

State Supreme Court rejects GOP challenge to Minnesota election results

The Minnesota Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a Republican lawsuit to stop certification of Minnesota’s Nov. 3 election results and order a full recount, the latest in a long line of failed legal attempts around the country to challenge the outcome of the 2020 vote.

In a five-page order rejecting the case, Chief Justice Lorie Skjerven Gildea cited the late filing of the petition — just hours before the state canvassing board met to certify the election’s results on Nov. 24 — and errors in the manner in which the case was brought.

MAGAs over on Breitbart are screaming at Breitbart for reporting these court losses and saying they're not going to come there anymore because BB sold out and is part of "the swamp" and is now obviously an anti-Trumper site.

Now they're even abandoning Breitbart. Pretty soon the only place they'll feel safe is InfoWars.
