All the pretend legal battles Trump is trying to bring is one thing, I am just wondering if in another 30 days or so he starts actually calling on his loony supporters to "take matters into their own hands"  It still won't do his cause any good, but it could cause a lot of actual problems in general.

So,  Trump plans to leave White House on Marine One to take him to Air Force One. Fly to Florida on Inauguration Day and then have a rally at 12 noon on 1/20. He expects the networks will have a split screen between Biden and him.

I think CNN,MSNBC and the networks will have full screens focused on Biden.  Fox may have a split screen. OANN and Newsmax will probably have Trump only.  People will be looking forward; not the past Donny boy.  You may get an occasional look at your rally; but the focus will primarily be Biden.  Maybe the networks/cable networks will air your rally in the middle of the night.

We could have fun reading this.

But could you imagine, if any of those calls landed some kind of "Yes Sir" answer and the guy just overturned the election to please his boss?

That single thought is quite scary about what Democracy lies upon. A few guys that have enough sense of honor and duty...

I haven't seen any Republicans with honor or duty.

Just some who figure there's a few things left that they can't get away with.

For now.

This is just speculation on your part, right, and is not actually been reported anywhere?  (even though I have speculated the same thing and it wouldn't surprise me).

One of my favorite parts about this post-election period for those denying the legitimacy of the results point at Trump as "not a politician" and a "norm breaker," but then try and explain how Trump couldn't possibly have lost by pointing to the recent track record of incumbent presidents, also saying "nobody has won both OH and FL and lost," etc.  It doesn't work that way.

Again, you know Trump is still going to be the dominant political story for quite a while, as the media is still going to report on every stupid tweet (and there's mostly all stupid) that he releases.  The question is, at what point do even GOP voters get sick of the circus.......if they ever do?

Attorney General Ken Paxton (that dip****) of Texas filed a lawsuit directly to the Supremes. From the article:

The state of Texas, aiming to help President Donald Trump upend the results of the U.S. election, said on Tuesday it has sued Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin at the Supreme Court, calling changes those states made to election procedures amid the coronavirus pandemic unlawful.

The long-shot lawsuit, announced by the Republican attorney general of Texas Ken Paxton, was being filed directly with the Supreme Court rather than with a lower court, as is permitted for certain litigation between states. The Supreme Court has a 6-3 conservative majority including three justices appointed by Trump.

The lawsuit represents the latest legal effort intended to reverse the Republican president's loss to Democratic President-elect Joe Biden in the Nov. 3 election. Those efforts have so far failed and legal experts said the Texas suit also is unlikely to succeed.

Democrats and other critics have accused Trump of aiming to reduce public confidence in the integrity of U.S. elections and undermine American democracy by trying to subvert the will of the voters.

Texas accused election officials in the four states of failing to protect mail-in voting from fraud, thus diminishing "the weight of votes cast in states that lawfully abide by the election structure set forth in the Constitution."

Someone is going to have to explain to me how asking the Ukraine to investigate Biden is (rightly) an impeachable offense, but openly asking state legislatures to steal an election for him is completely fine.

First you have to find a person who thinks that one is a problem and the other isn't.

Good luck.

At this point, it seems next to impossible for the SC to give Trump the win.  Hopefully they dismiss the case and don’t use it to screw over future elections.

Sorry didn't see this when i posted my question. They better not turn this thing over. What happened to states governing on their own? Seems like that and deficit spending is only important when it's convenient.
