Nazis showing up at places uninvited.

No Excuses

Just pointing out, using a completely hypothetical scenario that I just made up, that if a person were to conspire with a dozen masked activists, for the purpose of violently preventing a bunch of Nazis from publicly assembling, then yeah, said people have committed multiple crimes, including felonies.

I'm not saying this person did that. I am saying that just because someone is anti-Nazi does not mean they aren't also a terrorist.

Thats true, but also why the word ‘itself’ was in all caps in my post.

Got a newsletter from my alma mater (Michigan State) where the president indicated that they were expecting a white nationalist demonstration on campus soon.  Here's to hoping it doesn't turn ugly (although by nature it is ugly in and of itself).

There needs to be equal time for a better viewpoint - namely the science that shows Slavic people (such as this teacher) are genetically inferior to those of us with Nordic blood.

I have to admit I struggle with the issue above with the teacher.  Part of me says that a teacher should be setting the example in and out of the classroom.  Doing things like that podcast obviously aren't the example we want for kids.  However, a part of me also holds on to "free speech", especially in their personal life.  It doesn't sound like she was spouting this garbage in her classroom.  Is it right to hold it against her?  The easy part of me says yes.  But part of me also worries about the ole slippery slope.  What if that backwards school in WV wants to fire a teacher for attending a BLM rally?  Also, as I have pointed out before, the 1st applies to government limiting your speech.  Aren't schools part of the government?  So should they be able to limit what you say outside the classroom?  I feel like that is at least worth a discussion.

NOTE:  THIS IS NOT A DEFENSE OF WHAT SHE IS SAYING!  ONLY FOR A DISCUSSION ON WHAT THE LIMITS THAT SHOULD BE PLACED ON A TEACHER FOR WHAT THEY SAY.

She definitely was actively trying to indoctrinate her classroom and bragged about it on her podcast, and encouraged other white supremacists to become teachers to do the same.

But Volitich went further than attending a rally or merely identifying as a white nationalist, reports say: In audio clips, she painted herself as a proselytizer.

By her own admission, she was a subversive presence who sought to not-so-subtly indoctrinate students assigned to her classes with her world view. And she bragged about her ability to do so without her employers or colleagues finding out.

In Volitich’s education-centered conversation with Lokteff, the women talked about how imperative it was for people who shared their views to become educators.

“We need more people on our side who would be committed to being teachers — they don’t need to be vocal about their views but get in there, be more covert and just start taking over those places,” Lokteff said. “That’s what the left did. … Well, we have to take those institutions back.”

School systems all have "morality clauses" as part of their teacher contracts.  I remember years ago when their was a teacher in Loudoun that was a gay porn star.  He was let go.  And the jokes were awesome!

TY FOX!  Also coached the wrestling team.

Edit:  Whether being a white supremacist violates a morality clause would depend on exactly how the clause is written.

You do raise a good discussion point.  The 1st amendment applies to the government, of which the school system is usually a part.  That is why the white supremacist teacher has not been fired.  She's been removed from the classroom "pending an investigation" but she is still getting paid and is still listed as a teacher on the schools website as of right now.

She was removed from the classroom because the parents justifiably raised holy hell.  It is important to note that while the g'ment cannot limit your speech in most cases, your community has every right to shun the **** out of a person whose speech they find abhorrent.

I wasn't aware of that.  If that is the case, fire her.  I totally agree.  But IF she hadn't, should she be fired?  Like you said, it at least is a good discussion.

I wasn't aware of this.  I feel like he should have had a decent case to sue.  Isn't Loudoun pretty liberal?  Surprised they weren't more open-minded.

Farrakhan would make a great teacher wouldn't he? Lets test your freedom of speech.

I think a review of my history will show I am a pretty big supporter of the 1st.  Difference is I actually support it when I DON'T like what is being said.

As long as Farrakhan wasn't bringing it into the class room, I'm fine with it.

Still can't see how a white supremacists views wouldn't leak into her teaching. There's subjective aspects on teaching and grading. Unless she's only administering tests and feeding it into a machine.

She straight up said on her podcast she was teaching her views to the kids and changed up on the days she was being monitored and got the kids to play along. They are all ****ed.

She shouldnt, and probably can’t, be fired for espousing her views. She can, and probably will, be fired for being an ineffective teacher because all of the parents refuse to let their kids be in her classroom. Or they find some other **** she did that is a fireable offense; people like that tend to do a lot of things wrong other than just being racists. I mean, she had a podcast to brag about being a racist public school teacher; that is pretty ****ing dumb.

These Asshole have had the green light for a long time. Now our gov't is practically waving a checkered flag.

That's because racial superiority is and always was the plan. They don't care it's happening. They care when it/if gets in the way of the goal.
