Jumbo
I live in Oregon now (again). I have guns. And other stuff. Lots of snacks. I used to collect redneck heads (easy to shrink when the brain is so small). It seems I should be able to put all this together.

Hillary Clinton clearly gave them the idea. Sounds like the reports of them accessing computers are picking up steam. Saw some stuff about accessing employee data, including SS#s. BornaSkinsFan83
Cool, more armed rednecks. Yah, let's keep ignoring them My theory on here from a few days ago: The feds and law enforcement might be letting everyone come and go so they can track them and then press charges later. Like letting these idiots perform a militia sweep on themselves. We'll see. I would LOVE to know what's going on behind the scenes. Both sides. Hopefully we at least get a decent book out of this clown show.
PCS
Been an interesting day. http://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/index.ssf/2016/01/heavily_armed_security_detail.html#incart_big-photo Heavily armed 'security detail' shows up at Oregon standoff encampment *click link for more* http://www.opb.org/news/series/burns-oregon-standoff-bundy-militia-news-updates/armed-convoy-arrives-at-harney-county-courthouse/?t=649418 New Armed Group Enters Harney County, Meets With SheriffAn armed convoy with the Pacific Patriots Network surrounded the Harney County Courthouse Saturday afternoon to meet with Sheriff Dave Ward, where the two sides discussed the ongoing occupation near Burns. The Pacific Patriots Network is a collective of people from Oregon, Washington and Idaho, who, Saturday morning, arrived at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge claiming to secure the scene where armed militants have been stationed for the past week. Some of the men carried long guns. *click link for more*
Larry
Question that might be worthy of discussion: Should somebody (city police, county sheriff, the Governor) have the authority, say, to ban carrying guns in the city/county/specified area? Temporarily? For special situations like this one? I'm really not a fan of "state of emergency powers", cause I think they can be easily abused. But, should the power exist? (And then I suppose that whether this situation merits such power would be a second such question).

Not saying I agree with the decision, but a possible explanation: Don't think of them as ISIL, moving in with military forces, hoisting their flag, and claiming to sieze territory. Think of them as Occupy Wall Street, "taking possession" of a piece of territory as a publicity stunt for their protest cause. Was Occupy Wall Street surrounded by a wall of cops, who prevented people from bringing in food or water? Were the protesters prevented from leaving or returning? Should they have been? Apples to oranges, my man. Occupy wall street chaps were only armed with iphones and starbucks. They didn't instigate a heavily armed takeover of an investment firm. These rednecks need to be dispersed. Just turn off their water, jam their cell phone coverage, and black out local Nascar coverage. The latter should get them home with the quickness. Larry
Apples to oranges, my man. Occupy wall street chaps were only armed with iphones and starbucks. They didn't instigate a heavily armed takeover of an investment firm. Neither did y'all Qaeda. They "took over" empty buildings. Now, I do think you've got a good point, though. There needs to be a line between "harmless protest" and "OK, now we have to do something about this". And carrying a gun while you do something certainly does change the flavor of an action. IMO, it's not a bad place to draw a line. I can certainly see that argument.
