PleaseBlitz
I went with Ovi. He's still DC's only real MVP candidate, plus he's just a fun guy to have around the town. For the Cship question, I went with the Wizards, just because the Caps and Skins are nowhere close and the Wiz might sign Kevin Durant after next season. Durant + Wall + Beal would be a force. Springfield
If the Wiz sign Durant I will definitely hop on the bandwagon. I watched the playoffs last season but I'd probably watch a few regular season games too if Durant was on the squad.

Springfield
They're already an exciting team... Yeah, they were fun to watch during the playoffs. During the regular season I'll tune in for a few minutes here and there but my heart is with the Caps and it's tough to force the wife to watch any more sports than I already make her. Sticksboi05
I really am now leaning towards the Redskins being the furthest away from a championship.
Sticksboi05
Yup the Redskins are by far, the furthest away from a championship.
Springfield
All I know is that the Redskins are the furthest from a championship. Just went 3-13, new system... they won't even make the playoffs. The kool-aid tastes so sweet though. Ahem.
G.A.C.O.L.B.
I struggled with Wall or Harper. Went with Harper, just because I think the Nats are a bit more popular right now than the Wiz. Did go with Wiz as closer to a title though. Just two summers away baby #KD2DC

BRAVEONAWARPATH
Most popular/best athlete: John Wall. Shut this down.
Spaceman Spiff
Always had wondered if Wall would ever take this title, and I think it's his right now for sure. He's been amazing to watch this year and his growth has been great.
CrypticVillain
Hands down Wall is the most popular right now. And I change my vote to the Wizards as second closest to winning a title not only because the Redskins have sucked, but mainly due to the fact that right now, the East teams aren't as powerful as I thought they could be and the Wizards are actually playing as well as I thought they could be. Warhead36
The most popular is relative to the time of year. Right now it could be Wall. In six months when Bryce Harper is crushing home runs, it will be him.
Springfield
Alex Ovechkin, still better in his sport than any of the others are at theirs, lagging behind. Typical Washington sports fans. Hockey was cool for a couple of seasons and now they've moved on to the next hot thing.

Nothing but a bunch of bandwagoning fans who want to be seen at the Verizon center because its the trendy thing to do and they can yap about it on the Hill the next day. MattFancy
I'm ashamed I voted for the Skins as closest to a title. What in the hell was I thinking?
CrypticVillain
I'm ashamed I voted for the Skins as closest to a title. What in the hell was I thinking? Same thing I was thinking probably . Parity in the NFL is closer than parity in the NBA. But the Redskins sucked so bad this year that parity doesn't even matter. They just suck that bad. nuposse87
I've always thought Baseball and Hockey's seasonal popularity was more of a function of suburban people flocking to games when band wagoning seemed fruitful. I probably haven't watched the wiz as long as some, started in '99, but it feels weird to know so many historically non wiz fans sprouting up. I'm glad the franchise will grow cause of it, I just hope they stick around should the dark times come around again.
