Games like Fortnite and PUBG just don't do it for me.

It's fun and addictive in the beginning, but started getting really repetitive really fast for me.  I found myself trying to just camp/hide until everyone kept killing everyone else, only moving when the gameplay area would shrink to where I had to move.

I returned a pair of $200 shoes today so I impulsively decided to snag Kirby on Switch since I felt like I had an extra $200 lol.  There is a demo and I tried it last night and thought it was pretty fun if you like traditional Kirby stuff. It will give me something to do on my flights, even though it's only to Savannah from Dulles.

I did too so don't sweat it lol. I literally have only played Boarderlands and Monster Hunter for like the last month and some change. I have a sickness.

I love the battle royale idea of PUbG and Fortnight I just don’t really like the way the gameplay looks for those.

I think it needs some fine tuning or some big developer to come along and drop a massive battle royale game with like 50 different maps with crazy realism and details and hiding spots in the maps or really expand on the building aspect. Fortnight is too goofy and pubg just seems off.

There is a PC game that is amaze bells. Name is escaping me right now as I'm drinking myself into a coma but I'll remember it if I survive this.

also:

Web slinging physics look kinda screwy and I don’t love the wall running but it still looks all really fun so I don’t care.

Listening to the GI guy’s impressions after spending two days with the game is pretty exciting. There is so much freeflow allowed in the web slinging and navigating thru the city. Everybody can play differently.

Also, crafting new suits a thing and each new suit has an added power but if you can switch the powers to different suits. The two it showed were the Noire Spider-Man and punk rock Spider-Man. You can catch a glimpse of the classic costume at :25 second mark in the clip above too

Has anyone picked up Battlefront 2 since EA removed all the loot crates/microtransactions from the game and revamped the progression system?  I was looking for games in the shop about a week ago, saw BF2 and wondered if they ever did anything about that, searched it (as after our discussion about it in here a while back, didn't buy the game and didn't keep up with it) and found out they removed all that on 3/21/18.

Pulled the trigger, bought the game.  All the heros are unlocked from the beginning now.  You get daily loot crates, but no more store to buy them.  They are bringing them back, but for cosmetic add-ons only, nothing that impacts game play.  So far, I like the game and various multiplayer modes, they have a single player campaign for those that enjoy that stuff.  Also an arcade mode, where you can test out the star cards to see what set-ups you like best so you know what to put on your characters.

Also read an article about the game today, and it looks like the number of negative comments about them releasing with microtransactions  still has a ton of people pissed off at them stating they still won't buy the game now.  I think that's silly, the gaming community as a whole ****ed about it, a lot refused to buy it (myself included at the time) and it hurt sales by 3 million copies (they projected 10 and hit at 7).  EA revamped the game, took them out, and the same people that ****ed got their way but are still ****ing.

I dunno, to each their own.  But I'm enjoying the game, Haven't had any matches that weren't completely full (40 v 40, 20 v20, etc.).

@Dont Taze Me Bro I've been playing it since launch. The micro transactions and other crap never bothered me. I play just to play.

Games have always been full....sometimes very lopsided, but full.

I have also noticed that when a game is extremely lopsided, they readjust the teams after the 2 game cycle.

I decided against it because of the pay to win faster model at launch.  I'm not a fan of loot crates, but also could care less on what people want to spend their money on.  At the time, I knew I would be playing a ton of other games, so even casually playing, I would be so far behind those that fed the cash cow or played 24/7.

But, now that they have done away with those and revamped the progression, along with me looking for new games to play, I am glad that I bought this game last week.  I could be wrong, but it seems like playing blast (10 vs 10) levels you the fastest and I have a ton of fun with that game mode.  I've been playing mostly heavy and recently officer.

That second officer weapon gets me a lot of kills, along with a strategically placed turret.  Still working on his cards though.

Yeah Blast is fun. I was having fun with hero vs hero as well.

Typically, I play as officer, and starting to go into heavy and specialist.

I never cared about the pay to win...I still have fun, as long as it's not me running to the objective, getting killed before I even get a shot off, then having to run to it again

So you're not going to play the one coming out at the end of this month? Dude...

I just finished the Telltale Batman season 1. I like it a lot. It’s little more than a slightly interactive movie but that’s fine. I know to expect that with telltale and I’m there for the story.

It was a fun ride. Several surprises and it takes some typical story elements and characters that never seek to change and made them different and refreshing. Then it made Batman deal with these.

I liked the balance between the choosing to do things as Batman or Bruce Wayne and the way Bruce’s public perception played so heavily into the story.

I thought it was really well done. Looking forward to season 2

My intro to Far Cry 5? It took me 3 hours to complete one of the initial quests, "Hit the Gas", which was ridiculously frustrating and confusing quest. Not

a good way to get started. Anyway I finally got it out of the way. First impressions are the graphics are gorgeous and the world is huge. Huge leap from

Far Cry 4. I'm not crazy about the creepy redneck setting (complete with annoying country music), but the graphics, the size of the world and the well

developed skill tree have me intrigued. Just my initial impressions.

Yeah Far Cry 5 is the real deal. Its one of those rare game (like Horizon Zero Dawn) where it doesn't charm you right away, you have to play it for a good 5-6 hours to start to realize how great it is. But it is indeed great, a huge leap forward from Far Cry 4 and Far Cry Primal (two games which were generic and dull with no personality -- Far Cry 5 simply oozes personality). Its heavily inspired by Grand Theft Auto V, but it also has elements of Fallout 4, Bioshock Infinite, and even a bit of Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain thrown in for good measure. It is a huge, gorgeous world simply STACKED with things to do. And that's the secret of its success. Bored with the main quest? Take on one of the various side quests, which seem to be in the hundreds. Had enough with side quests? Go liberate a cultist outpost, or go hunt and skin animals, or simply go fishing. And get there on your quad vehicle, or your off-road SUV, or take the chopper. Huge array of super cool weapons to choose from. Best of all is the massive skill tree. This makes advancement in the game fun and worth investing in, because you can rack a huge number of perks and really develop a character who can kick ass.

Got really sucked into yesterday. Played it all day, will return to it this weekend.

Sounds like Skyrim with guns and mountain lions. And I like Skyrim. And Guns.

Its that + 2018 Graphics. The game is really gorgeous -- graphics look like they were done by Bethesda, and not Ubisoft.

Only weakness I found with is it pretty hard to stealth destroy a settlement. I've found that I can stealth kill 4-5 cultists at most, and

then I have to rely on my trusty M60. Stealth controls are unfortunately pretty limited and awkward eg. stealth kills from below

and above are pretty tricky to master.
