I found the Wii to be inaccurate as far as the direction that you were pointing and where it ended up on the screen.

If you were trying to use it as a light gun actually pointing at the screen, you were doing it wrong.  It's more like a mouse where you are moving a cursor.

While I don't disagree that mice are too accurate, shooters that use a controller have an aim-assist function to them.  That's why I really liked the idea of the Wii's IR-pointing for shooters; didn't suffer from the overly-accurate mouse and didn't require aim assist.  Plus with the deadzone box built in, it was nice to be able to shoot at things that weren't in the center of the screen.

Aim assist is not what a lot of people think.  It doesn't aim for you. Sometimes aim assist is not helpful. When you are sniping and an enemy runs between you and your target, the aim assist can pull you from your target.  In Destiny, each weapon has its own aim assist value. Some snipers have a lot, some have less, some have none.  Depending on your play style, you may want to turn it off, which you can do.  Some streamers are saying that the aim assist with controllers on PC with certain weapons is crazy overpowered and will have to be nerfed. For me, the problem with mouse vs controller is that you have WAY more control with a mouse and therefore can be more accurate.  You can do a 180 in miliseconds.  With a controller, you have to make sacrifices. If you want to be able to spin like that you can, but you will not have the distance accuracy.  With a mouse, you have both.  I don't think playing with a mouse and keyboard even feels remotely good. With a controller, I pull a trigger and shoot, it feels good. It makes sense.

How many of you played Destiny 2 beta? I'm going to my brother's after work today to try it on PC(don't think my PC would run it very well).

I played it on Xbox. Wasn't too impressed, but I'd already pre-ordered it and I really want to see how the story pans out. My main gripes were with PvP, supers took way too long to be ready, and the cooldown on grenades were ridiculous. I know Bungie said they'd heard those complaints and made changes, so I'm in a wait and see mode as far as whether I continue playing it once I finish the main story game.

Looks like they are addressing that:  https://gamerant.com/destiny-2-super-grenade-cooldown-armor/

Edit: reading the article, people actually complained that supers/abilities cool down was too fast, leading to multiple supers per match.........I thought it was perfectly balanced.  Must have people that sucked at PvP doing all the ****ing and moaning.

Granted, if you sucked in PvP during the beta you likely wouldn't get your super that entire match. My issue was more with the grenade cooldown, which isn't tied into kills that might bring it back quicker.

I was talking about people complaining about the cool down in Destiny probably sucked at PvP (in the original Destiny, not 2) and complained anyhow, thus resulting in the changes you saw during Destiny 2 Beta.

I played the PC beta. I have to say gunplay just feels better on PC in general. Not sure I'm going to buy the game as I just got tired of the grind and in general I don't like shooters on console. Maybe after I build my new PC around November/December time.

How are the classes? Different from before? Last time I mained Titan and didn't like how it was basically the "melee" spec when melee was awful in the harder dungeons(or whatever Destiny calls them).

I'm the wrong person to answer any questions like that as I never played the first one. I am playing a Titan though and think it's fun. I will also say the story was kind of meh but I'm playing the game for RNG loot casino.

Did anyone else hear about Pewdiepie dropping the n bomb on a broadcast recently? That guy walks a fine line and his continued (it's not his only racial incident) use of casual racial slurs threatens to put the online game streaming world in jeopardy.

Yea I heard about it but I dont think he puts the community in danger any more than Hulk Hogan did to the WWE. He may lose sponsorship, but they will find other, less obviously racist guys to put money into.

Edit: Actually I just looked into it and you may be right. He aparently bas alot of influence and has ****ed the game up before. Shame.

He pretty much is the game streaming world.  Makes seven figures a year.

Ugh, and here I am working like a sucker for 5 figures.

I know he's the biggest name there and mkes a ton but if he were removed from the scene for his offensive language etc    that market would just follow someone else. I've been led to believe it was a thriving market which to be fair, I've never understood because game streaming is entirely weird and pointless to me but oh well
