From everything I read, and these came from neutral sources, they put the Pro Vs. the S, not the Scorpio. Every article I read states the Scorpio is the next gen, and PS is waiting it out.

So honestly, I have no idea.

The Pro and the S aren't comparable. The S is a very minor upgrade and the Pro is more along the lines of the Scorpio. They're only doing the S Vs Pro comparisons now because at the moment Microsoft has nothing to really compare. There's hardly any info being released about the Scorpio.

Quite honestly I am not sure this is accurate. Yes the Pro is a bigger upgrade then the S, but from my understanding from articles I read, the PS5 is coming out 2nd half of 2018. The Pro is just a PS4 with upped specs for VR improvements

They put the Pro vs. the S because they came out around the same time.

It's accurate bro. The Pro is an actual, true console upgrade. It was a let down compared to what it was rumored to be when it was project Neo if I recall correctly? But the Pro is supposed to be compared more to the Scorpio.

Busting out that Mass Effect again, looking to game until Andromeda comes out.

Believe it or not, as many times as I've played it through, there's still more playstyles, personality types and relationships to explore.

I wanna try a Vanguard/Shotty run. Up close and personal

I'm doing this too! Got ME1 digital on the Xbox one, and the discs for 2 and 3. Gonna play through the trilogy while I'm also playing through uncharted series.

Isn't the XBone S basically an XBone with 4k Blu Ray?

Yes, very little changes between the two.

I want to build another PC so bad. But I think I might just hold off for the Scorpio specs first.

From what i have read the GPU in the Scorpio at this time right now will be equivalent to a high-en PC. So project that roughly a year from now and it will be considered still pretty damn good but not top of the line.

Yes, that is what Microsoft tells us.  But considering even a GTX 970 still costs more than an entire XBone, I find the claim of high-end PC equivalence to be dubious.

Yea, im guessing the price point will be close to $500. U can build a decent PC, not great for $500 so will be interested to see where it really stacks up.

The article I read, the guy from M$ said that the graphics would be capable of going head to head with today's higher end cards and mentioned the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070.  But then said by the time it launches, it would be equivalent of a mid-range PC in 2017.  So, they weren't misleading at all.

Here is the article that I read:  http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/xbox-scorpio-release-date-specs-news-rumours-4k-vr

Yeah but all consoles not made by Nintendo are sold at a loss anyway. I'm not sure how much Microsoft is willing to lose per unit sold, but isn't there a GTX card that's like $250? It wouldn't surprise me if they created a system that cost $700 to make, and sold it at $400-500. After making these bombastic claims of "the most powerful console ever", they can't back down now.

I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying that I'm skeptical.

Well, it's going to be like a mid-range PC by the time it's released.  Also read they estimate the cost to be around $600.  That's not a bad price but not a great one either imo.  I paid $600 for the original PS3 on release day, hell it was over $700 after I got one game and an extra controller.  I don't think I'd spend that much on a new console again.

I won't say never, but at that point, I'd have to pick one and not own two anymore.  Especially if both of them hit the $600-700 mark, that's $1200-1400.  Once they start getting that high in price, I think one needs to take into consideration spending a few hundred more dollars and buying a nice gaming PC.

Well, i cracked and pre ordered RE7. Normally id wait for reviews and a sale, but it seems capcom has gotten back to what made this series great (Make Resident Evil Great Again) and i wanted to show my approval. Remastering 0, 1 and working on the 2nd, its about damn time these guys figured out that people dont want an action shooter in their Resident Evil game. GreenManGaming also had it at 20% off so i figured i wouldnt really see a better price than that for awhile anyways. Hope i dont get burned, last game i pre ordered was X-Com 2 and i cannot remember any before that. I just finished The Evil Within and all its DLCs, so im in survival horror mode and ready for more.

I refuse to believe anything after RE4 was made.

I refuse to believe anything after 3 was made. I know that is a debate that has been raging for years, but I liked the suffocating atmosphere and lack of ammo. The inventory space management and everything present in the series 0-3. This looks like a return to those games with a first person perspective. I'll let you all know what I think and my perspective will be coming from someone that doesn't care for the series past 3 so keep that in mind.

I played 4 on the Gamecube and it was a favorite for a long time. Between that and Eternal Darkness...booya.

Different strokes for different folks. I would have liked the game more had it been it's own series and not taken Resident Evil in a more action oriented direction. That was my main issue with it, I didn't think it was a RE game.

Eternal Darkness definitely wins that battle for me.

I actually really liked eternal darkness too. Too bad the main dev turned out to be a scumbag and had child pornography. Would have liked to have seen a sequel but since his charges they haven't had a prayer of getting a green light for it. Although, Nintendo has done something with the IP naming trademarks recently so people are wondering what the plan is for the series. If it's not on their virtual console yet, that's probably it.

That's not quite accurate.  There was somebody in the company involved in kiddie porn, but I don't recall his role.  The main man behind Eternal Darkness, though, was Denis Dyack who has his own baggage.  As best I can tell, he's burned some bridges in the industry, and there've been accusations of mistreatment of employees.  And then he tried to make a spiritual sequel but failed in the crowd-funding stage not once but twice.

At this point, the most I'm really hoping for is to see Alex Roivas appear in Smash Bros.

I think you are thinking of the developer who was trying to make the followup (Precursor Games). I don't think Denis Dyack was involved with that.

Ah yes you guys are right, i know Dyack has issues within the industry and I lumped it together because it has been awhile. My apologies I should have googled first.
