Eh, guess it's from earlier in the month though.

After GreatBuzz's post about the vet question at a town hall, I looked at the post time in confusion. After your post I started wondering if I had just awoken from a dream where I went three weeks into the future. Scared me for a second.

Hillary answered whether you should vote for Donald or not; in the first debate.  Jill was never a real factor and Gary Johnson who could be forgiven for his first Allepo moment, can't be forgiven for his second. He ended his shot of being a factor tonight. I think the Libertarians will have a very hard time even getting 5%. Hillary has to in her remain 2 debates convince enough people to come out and vote for her.  The polls should be solidly in her favor by Tuesdays Veep Debate.  I don't see why she can't achieve 55% of the popular vote again.

I think Johnson will cobble enough votes to get above 5 percent, which leaves, for sake of argument, at least 93-94 pct (assuming Stein and McMullin cobble together 1-2 pct).  I don't think the winner of this election (which I still think will be Trump, despite Hillary beating him on Monday night) is going to get 50 percent of the popular vote. Think something like 48-46.  I wonder if its going to end up like 2000 where we have a popular vs electoral split.

I didn't see it, but you could start a thread about the issue. Might get more people to talk about it. (Not sure though.  It's up to you of course.)

If nobody watched it, it's not worth it.  I think it belongs in the politics thread anyways.  Oh well.  Really surprised it wasn't watched by more people.

What about my post?  I'm confused.

People have been talking about how we should vote for Johnson, and it really leaves me confused. Do they not know his political stances? Things like getting rid of homeland security, the FBI, and decreasing military among many other ridiculous things. Did noone see the 60 minutes interview with him? In what way would he be a good candidate to run this country? We would be better off with Trump than Johnson, and that's damning. It's like people only talk about him because he likes to toke. And this is before his latest international gaffe.

With the Cuba-Trump trade revelations added to the list, there's a part of me that wanders if election 2016 could end with either a pre-inauguration impeachment or criminal prosecution of Donald Trump.

I'm not really kidding either. How many illegal activities have come to the surface that he or his companies been a part of?

Oy...

So now Alicia Machado is porn star broodsow for a druglord accomplice to murder......................that didn't take long did it?

TheDonald's superpowers on display, he saw into the future and decided it was ok to treat her like **** since someday Infowars was going to defame her. Impressive, eh?

I'm sure Trump thinks he's above the law, and thus above the Constitution. He won't take the oath seriously, like Bush 43.

He definitely seems to think he's above the law (and so far mostly has been). He doesn't know the Constitution (nor does he care about it)

I was thinking that. For all the talk about impeaching Hillary, it seems like Trump has several things that could lead to his impeachment.

McMullin won't even get .001 percent. Jill will get 1 or 2 percent and same with Gary. Maybe 5 percent total goes 3rd party. Donald will barely crack 40. Percent. Hillary will get the rest. Even if the third party vote is higher than my current prediction, Hillary will get at least 50 percent.

The latest conspiracy theory about the debate making the rounds. And yep,Trumpsters are eating it up.

http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/presidential-debate-reviewing-tape-how-hillary-cheated/

Quote

After Reviewing Debate Tape, We NOW KNOW How Hillary Cheated! Do You See It?

After reviewing the tape, a video is going viral (below) which shows Hillary scratching her face repeatedly. Each time she does this, Lester Holt begins the process of interrupting or “fact checking” by using liberal talking points.

Watch (below) as Trump mentions “stop and frisk,” Hillary scratched her face. 30 seconds later, Holt pushes back about the supposed unconstitutionality of the policy.

More “signals” happened during the discussion of NATO, and Hillary appears to “signal” again about his opposition to the Iraq War… And she repeatedly signals as Holt waits to interrupt. Holt finally attacks Trump, and Hillary jumps back into her scripted response to the NATO debate.

http://www.usnews.com/opinion/articles/2016-09-29/why-donald-trumps-trade-policies-would-cost-jobs

But let's consider what would happen if Trump's positions became policies. More than making consumer goods more expensive, they'd actually threaten millions of jobs, especially in small to midsized farms and factories across America. That's because most of what we import from Mexico and China contains a lot of U.S.-made content. The cotton in your shirt is probably American. The U.S. is one of the top producers and exporters of cotton. The steel in your air conditioner grill is probably American, too. China still lacks a robust recycling market and imports U.S.-made scrap to make hardware. Even the car that was imported from Mexico is filled with auto parts and technology made in the USA

Well, no charges will be brought for illegally doing business in Cuba because the statute of limitations has expired, according to the Newsweek article.  So legally he's off the hook on this one.

Morally, not so much.  Even as the check cleared to his people who were illegally in Cuba spending money and laying the groundwork for opening a casino should the Cuba embargo be lifted, Trump was in Florida as a Reform Party candidate for President vowing to a Cuban American audience never to spend a dime in Cuba and maintaining the embargo as long as Castro was in power.

So he's had practice lying as a Presidential candidate.  You'd think he'd be better at it by now.

But the best is yet to come! It's gonna be YUGE! And there are a lot of actors in this that have a vested interest in keeping everyone tuned in 'til the final episode.

Woke up this morning thinking about Trump giving the State of the Union. Can you imagine four more years of this?

Part of the angst is that people are worrying, projecting "what might happen" onto this. Relax, how do you eat an elephant?

We have survived months and months of braggadocious behaviors, we'll get through this too.

I'm looking forward to the next debate. Donny is convinced he nailed it, he's slapping down anyone in the cult that even dares suggest he didn't, and I am looking forward to him charging out there, firmly convinced by his conversations with the face in the mirror that the problem was that he wasn't Trumpy ENOUGH! Monday was just the trailer, the real hardcore OMG did-he-really-say-that? action is yet to come.

Do you really think that matters at this point?

Using that logic, he should be losing by 50 points right now.

I have no doubt we can wage that kind of war better than russia, i don't think we can defend against it very well though.

The current results haven't been very good, from what little the public knows.

It feels like a cyber war compared to the hot conflicts during the Cold War would be like the kind of leap we made from the Franco Prussian Wars to WWI.

It would be social and economic chaos if our commerce, banking, transportation, government, and medical infrastructure were all compromised or shut down.

The mere possibility that Russia might start a war like this because they think it could be worth it to try and get Trump elected is terrifying.  Words have consequences.  Trump's words could do a lot of damage to us even if the stupid mother****er doesn't win.

He really should be... or at least 20. Republicans can't be that brand loyal, oblivious, and hateful of America, can they?

I mean many of them voted for W twice so that puts their judgment into question, but Trump is so much worse. Although, Bush was a failed business man too.

The entertainment value matters to me, the circuit in my brain that tried to calmly consider the political ramifications of it all burned out.
