BleedBNG
No matter what we do to our field (while keeping natural grass), it will always look like crap. Whet ever they did in Baltimore, DO IT HERE and get this OVER with.
MrJL
what's wrong with the field at Fedex anyway? It didn't behave this way in the past.
RG3theMVP
If your field only has one NFL game every other sunday and other events from time to time (every few weeks) I can see natural grass working. Anything more than that you need to go with something that can take a beating.
Tyron Biggums
Is field turf considered a faster playing surface compared to natural grass?
hail2skins
what's wrong with the field at Fedex anyway? It didn't behave this way in the past. It may have been bad in the past, but nobody paid any attention. However, when you host a playoff game for the first time in 13 years and a QB that you gave up mutiple draft picks for crumples in a heap, it becomes a focus of attention pretty fast! cphil006
No... What's next, the NFL cancels game because of cold or rain? Dan need to buy a better field... If its too soft when wet then get better drainage and/or heaters to dry... Or suck it up and play football

Bantu
Yes they should switch to fake turf cuz Snyder can't figure out how 2 keep natural grass up here in the noetheast
SweetAlfred
Why doesn't he ask the players for their opinion? By the way, does synthetic turf hurt or cut you when you slide on it?
lavar1156
I just think we need a new field manager, or whatever the position is called. Seems the current one we have sucks. There are many grass fields with far superior conditions than what we have.
SweetAlfred
Not sure if its been mentioned but Nick Barnett tore his MCL on this field. Too many field related injuries on this turf, new players coming here next year might be scared to play here lol.
redskin01fan
I like the natural surface but the constant inconsistency of weather changes in the area requires the field to get changed over to synthetic. This last game against Dallas is define fly proof of this. Field has the new Oklahoma grass and was resoded, yet still was an issue.

redskin01fan
And it is not like Snyder does not have 36 million saved thanks to Mara. :-/

ConcordNCSkinsFan
It's the same issue as the name change. Do you really want the field changed because you are genuiely concerned that more players get hurt on grass or do you just want the field changed because you're tired of hearing crybaby media and fans complain about it. The hell with em all. Keep the Redskins Name and the Grass Field just change the Coach.

HogNose
Get the Kentucky bluegrass reinforced with Desso GrassMaster that Lambeau Field is using.
Momma There Goes That Man
The only people that don't want it are stuck in the 80s and clinging to their archaic notions of "Redskins football" and memories of John Riggins with a muddy jersey etc. There is no reason not to take advantage of advancements in technology whether that be field turf or some type of hybrid like Desso. Our field/beach is a disgrace, the highly touted re-sod has barely helped if at all. It's well past time to get with field turf IMO. FedEx would look glorious with it. HogNose
Philly and Cleveland I think. Also isn't New England and Chicago natural Philly uses Desso GrassMaster and Gillette stadium uses Field turf. Soldier Field is grass and is always in awful condition. Cyclops
Philly and Cleveland I think. Also isn't New England and Chicago natural I know Philly has deso which is grass and fibers mixed. NE has field turf. You are right about Chi and Cle though
bearrock
Desso makes a lot of sense to me. At some point it's a safety hazard for the players.

mikeDinNYC
Hybrid turf is the way to go IMHO… the amount of slipping, sliding, tripping and injuries at Fedex is just insane…. can we please put our players and in a position to win and not get injured?
