pjfootballer
I'm liking this kid more and more. Sometimes the unheralded ones are more hungry and more motivated. Plus, he's one guy we WON'T be reading about being broke 2 years out of the NFL.There was another Redskin from way back in the day with a similar story...kept his old car and drove it to Redskins Park as a way to stay grounded. It was a Datsun or a VW, something like that. Can anybody remember who it was? Dave Butz? I think he used to pick up Joe Theismann and Russ Grimm and then try to run over animals on his way to the stadium.
nuposse87
I'm hoping he buys a Hyundai or Kia, then we know he's a guy that looks for value, lol. Good story at least we know he wasn't being paid by boosters when he was in school lol.
Boss_Hogg
Alf is a star in the making. Just have a great feeling for this kid.
Pick6
Good for him. Smart move when you think the average career in the NFL is 3 or 4 years.
justice98
Why would any young professional (NFL or no) buy a Camry unless it's just as cheap and every bit the beater that Morris' 626 is? I just pulled the first name that came to mind, doesn't have to be a Camry, could be anything. Insert name of non-beater, but non-expensive vehicle. JoeSkins
The saddest part of all: He's made more in two weeks than I do all year.
brandymac27
I hereby declare that the first Redskin player that ever drives a Gremlin to Redskin Park will be my new hero!
DogofWar1
Thats why he produces. His mind is on football. Good man. He will be getting a big contract veddy veddy soon. Hopefully not too soon. Our 3 runningbacks probably are paid about 1.5M combined. Keeping that number relatively low is what's going to help us build elsewhere for a few years. Mr. Sinister
Cool to know, but I guarantee that he'll be car shopping very soon. If it were me, I'd go straight for that Evo.
Koolblue13
He's been a starter for what? 10 days? Good for him, but I doubt he has the time to be car shopping yet. He probably spends all his off time laying still in incredible pain.

DC9
This is a blue collar guy. Never the biggest, never the fastest, but a worker. I heard the story about his car after the Saints game, but I'm just so happy for how well he's done so far. Keep it up AlMo!
Bacon
gotta be honest, sounds like attention whoring. The car or the article? Where I'm from, nobody would notice a **** car like that. I guess at Redskins Park it would stand out. But still, I think it's probably just Morris being sentimental but being blown up by the fans and media into a thing about his character. In any case, he's no attention whore.

21Knock_U_Out
Saw this story on thje pre game show...quite the pile of crap with manual windows and all. He seems genuinely grounded and humble and a likeable guy. Hope that that stays after he busts out about 1500 yards this year and sniffs around for more money... Manual what?? Lol, I remember those days.
Bacon
Jeez, before a couple of stoned girls drove out in front of me and totaled my Accord, my power windows were out for months. I would've killed for manual windows.
Timmy Smith
Meanwhile, Vince Young is totally broke. Glad to see a rookie with his head screwed on straight. Sure, have some fun with your money, but realize that cars are one of the dumbest "investments" imaginable and know that there will be plenty of time after the NFL career to spend the money you've (hopefully) saved and invested. I remember Joe Gibbs starting a series of Financial Management seminars for players during his second stint as our head coach. I forget the exact statistics, but some terrifying percentage of former players are bankrupt within a few years after they retire, and he wanted to do something about it. Renegade7
Was having a discussion with someone during the preseason when we first saw him running people over like it was normal. I still feel like Shanny is always going to be able to find running backs to fit his offense. The only thing harder then being the starter is staying the starter. Is this guy another Terrell Davis or Ryan Torain? Anyway, the way he's playing is probably why we didn't go after a big back even after letting Hightower go. He runs hard enough to be used on short yardage. PS: Keep the car if you want, but I don't want to hear about being late to practice if the damn thing breaks down on you. That car is over 20 years old, I imagine you're replacing parts by now...
amm0409
Interesting guy. Id like to see what he gets next. My father could of gotten any car he wanted to but always seemed to love his old truck.
