I stopped watching games a couple weeks into the year because it was all just too painful to watch, and I'm glad I didn't watch today's game either. What a sad state of affairs, when diehard fans aren't even watching anymore. The games are embarrassing and boring.

I'm really surprised that the Washington Post hasn't polled Native Americans to ask, "do you believe the Washington Redskins should change their name?" The Post frequently runs political polls that are professionally conducted by statisticians and scientifically accurate. Also, it's a local issue, the President of the United States has weighed in on the issue, and it's newsworthy. We have the Annenberg study from about a decade ago, but nothing more recent. Personally, I think that if a majority of Native Americans finds the term offensive, then we should change it to something more hono

I could probably live with something like this: http://www.behance.net/gallery/Washington-Redhawks-Brand-Proposal/11458543

Anyone have a smooth feed for the current Bears game? Thanks, from remote northern California!

Amazing thread. There's a typo in the first quote, though - should be "go to hell," not "got to hell." BEAT DALLAS

When I log in to USTVnow and search for "redskins" I get "no results found" - anyone know how to find the game once you're in?

Thanks. Any idea how to get rid of the ad covering the screen? Can't seem to click around it...

Thank goodness we didn't let Nike push us into getting new uniforms purely because Nike is a new NFL supplier. If we ever change the uniforms, it should be on our own terms, and on our own timing. Can't say I like the new Seahawks uniforms. The yellow-green color reminds me of Hi-C Ecto cooler... sort of a day-glo margarita mix tone, ick. And what's with the stripes on their pants? Looks like a roll of "take a number for service" stickers from a deli counter.

The hat is the wrong color - burgundy looks a million times better than cherry red. Also, I hope the uniforms change as little as possible tomorrow, but I gotta admit, I've never liked the thick, angular "Redskins" font that is used on so much of our gear. It looks okay in an end zone, but that's about it. Looks like there's also going to be a "[NFL City] Knows" line of t-shirts, from Nike, too - like this: http://store.redskins.com/images/products/8045_large.jpg

Precisely. One of the best aspects of the Redskins franchise is its rich tradition. There aren't too many 80-year old pro sports teams, and I love our uniforms' old fashioned look and feel. I never mind when go with a throwback one (70th anniversary spear helmets, etc.) but I'll throw up if we start looking like the Oregon Ducks. Griffin's play will be all the modernity we need!
