Mr. Sinister
Why not? He seems to be able to play all of the other positions on the team, according to some experts who are smarter than me. Garcon = Gar-gone. This is a joke, right? Please tell me you're joking... I refuse to think that you truly believe that.

s0crates
Shanny said the injury is "something like turf toe but its not his toe." Your guess is as good as mine as far as what that means. Garcon said he expects to play. It does not appear too serious, but don't count on Shanny giving us a clear answer either. ---------- Post added September-12th-2012 at 06:48 AM ---------- He probably won't play this week, but we should be OK. Hank will be in the gameplan more this week of practice and with Hank, Aldrick, Morgan, and Moss, we're still good at WR. Why do you say he probably won't play? I haven't seen any news that would indicate that.
wrecker
Shanny said the injury is "something like turf toe but its not his toe." Your guess is as good as mine as far as what that means. I think what he meant was, although it is not a serious injury, it is extremely painful. So it is just a matter of what Garcon's pain tolerence is if he can play or not. But it is funny that Cooley's name pops up every time we have an injured offensive player.

MariusVT
The real hope is that this doesn't turn into some kind of nagging problem that dogs him half the year or more.
wrecker
It is just our luck that our #1 FA acquisition gets hurt in the first game of the season.

s0crates
Garcon did not practice today. They are calling him day-to-day at this point. I really hope he is good to go, because he looks great so far.
Mr. Sinister
Sucks that on his first TD he gets hurt. Hopefully he's all good and ready to go by Sunday. With the rapport he had with Griffin throughout the offseason/preseason, who knows how many yards/td's he could've had if he'd played the whole game. This going to be a fun connection for years to come.
Est.1974
I don't think we'll know for sure until an hour before kick-off Sunday when the inactives are named.....No way Shanahan tips his hand on this one.

skinsfan4life7
Looks like Garcon will most likely be a game-time decision. Not sure if he will practice tomorrow or Friday, but if he does, I look for him to play.
hands11
He will suit up for I doubt he starts. I guess he could be there in case of emergency though. If he hurt his foot, he needs to rest it.

Duckus
We seem incapable of keeping our WR healthy. I feel like every year we have WRs with all sorts of nagging injuries.

Just have no idea what the injury could be to not be serious, yet so painful? RGIII to Garcon is my fantasy and reality right now and i hope he is in the game. I have Garcon on my fantasy squad too. I do have the option of playing Miles Austin in his place, so I am not overly concerned, but I would rather use Garcon to be honest. If he had 100 yards and a TD in 1 quarter of play, I would love to see what he could do in 4 quarters of play. I am monitoring this situation very closely, so any insight you guys can provide would be much appreciated. As usual, Shanny is not divulging much info until he has too. This bit about Garcon playing if he can tolerate the pain is interesting . . . I assume that means he will be given some pain killers and he will play, but I worry about WRs with foot injuries. abdcskins
I haven't seen a specific description of Garcon's injury. Everywhere I see it just says, "foot." Sprained foot?
B&GVol24
Sorry if this has been discussed recently, I've been up to my eyeballs in 9/15 deadlines this week. But are Royster and Helu still dealing w/ injuries? I know Alfred is a beast, but I figured they would have gotten more work had they been fully healthy.
