spjunkies
The NFL may void the Redskins and Rams trade now. Somebody PLEASE just shoot me if this is true.... OMG I can't handle this :(
Madison Redskin
The lawyer in me loves how so many people (who probably despise lawyers and think people file too many lawsuits) are saying, "We need to SUE!!!!" Everyone hates lawyers, until the second they feel they've been wronged ...
HigSkin
I'd defer it all to next year and file a lawsuit.

Destino
The trade isn't completed yet right? I wonder if this threatens to change that. This is a serious blow.
DarrellsMyHero28
The NFL may void the Redskins and Rams trade now. The Redskins/Rams trade had nothing to do with salary cap since all they traded was draft picks.

milellie111
Looks like Bruce has been planning for this moment all along. We think he's gonna spend it' date=' looks like the space was made for this reason now, imo. But..we can still get players in. We could still have 20-25 mil this year. A $10m bonus on a 5 year deal - only generates about a 3mil hit with salary. Bruce new this was coming - no doubt.[/quote'] lol. Sure. You really drinking Bruce koolaid. Don't give the guy too much credit. The guy was most likely dumbfounded just like the rest of us are. He gambled and got burned.

kevinklein
We're not screwed. Take 18 off this year and we still have about 30 million. Let the next 18 hit next year. Still incredibly annoying, considering we're given no explanation.
spjunkies
Releasing this info one day before FA makes me think Goodell has an agenda with Snyder. It really does seem that way. I've never heard of anything this crazy before.

E-Dog Night
The Redskins should absolutely be able to take legal action. To announce this literally 24 hours before the start of free agency is unconscionable.
Mocountyskins
The Redskins/Rams trade had nothing to do with salary cap since all they traded was draft picks. Yes but like i said if we only have 4 mil in cap and we cant restructure contracts and we cant get enugh money to pay the 2nd overall pick his 20-30 mil in guranteed money then couldent the NFL say nope? rockfan7224
Dan and Jerry should take all their money that they bring into the NFL, and tell Goodell and the small market teams to **** OFF!
RedskinsNation
What the NFL takes, the Redskins can get back from The First National Bank of Cooley, Hall, Cofield, and Moss. What I mean here is not to cut them, but to restructure their contracts to make room. They can front load the deal in the form of signing bonuses, etc. to get under the cap. The shame is, it will be hard to do in 24 hours. Bingo. But I think they will release people as well. Do we really want Hall around for NINE MILLION DOLLARS this year? This really isnt that big of a deal, I think it will force the skins to unload a few ppl that they would have waited to do so in a year anyway. Rufus T Firefly
This will force the team to make some cap decisions that I think they should have been thinking about anyway. I mean, now do you want to re-think betting $7+ mil on Cooley and Brown staying healthy? Or, do you think harder about moving Moss or Gafney for a mid round pick?
