Because with Javale it's not physical, it's mental, it's maturity, it's motivation and heart with him. You just can't "improve" with those things, either you have it or you don't. And he shows that he's lacking in many of those areas and not not willing to change. If his issues were physical and you told me he needs to get in the weight room and bulk up, or work on his conditioning, or work with a free throw shooting coach then i could accept in a year or two him improving if he did those things. But those things aren't his main problem.

[quote name=Gator Bait;8858299 Turiaf is definitely not a scrub. He isn't a world beater and if he is getting more than 20 minutes per game' date=' you have issues....but he is a nice big to round out a roster. He plays hard and makes hustle plays...I really like him. ---------- Post added February-29th-2012 at 12:45 PM ---------- [/color] I think Vesely has the highest basketball IQ on the team, but I definitely wouldn't call him fundamentally sound. He racks up even more stupid fouls than McGee and couldn't hit a jumper to save his life. Sorry, but this is just a nice way of calling him a scrub. You can find a guy off the street in your local gym that "plays hard and make hustle plays". Vesely can't hit jumpers? But Ernie said he could be the next Dirk Nowitzki!

Okay Pam Mcgee. Progress from last season? Okay, yeah, i'll give it to you. Last year Mcgee was an idiot. This year he's slightly less of an idiot. Last year Mcgee made 1 good play followed by 3 idiotic plays. This year Mcgee makes 1 good play followed by only 2 idiotic plays. Don't you realize that Javale Mcgee would not start on any other team in the NBA?

Sorry for the rants guys, but this game put me over the edge after holding my composure for years. I'm in a foul mood with this organization. They are regressing, not getting better. There is no rebuilding plan. Starting a bunch of young DLeague guys is NOT rebuilding. Someone please email Ted. I read the posts on WizardsExtreme.Something must change.

Points don't mean anything. I don't care about points. He plays no defense, constantly turns the ball over, is a ball hog and only plays one on one basketball. He has the basketball IQ of a rock. He scores in meaningless garbage time against bench players and signifies and whines on every non call. I want him off this team or limit his minutes. He's nothing more than a 1 on 1 player. You have plenty of those guys in the league who may be use to "playground ball" and they don't even sniff the court on other teams. Jordan Crawford needs to be in street clothes every game. Give the minutes to a "real" NBA player that actually understands the game of basketball and knows how to run plays.

Why are you John Wall homers getting offended just because someone states the obvious? You want to overlook the fact that he sucks because all he knows how to do is run full speed into defenders trying to draw a foul? When is the last time Wall scored even 20 points? The guy isn't even playing against elite talent and is sucking. Lol at the fact folks thought he was going to be Derrick Rose 2.0 or better than rose. Just saw a hurt Rose destroy the Celtics. Rajon Rondo has a better jumper than Wall and Rondo is like the worst shooting pg in the league. Stop the excuses that Wall has no talent around him. A star ball player is a star ball player no matter who's around him and it should be clearly evident who the star is.

Yes, "prospect", but not yet "proven". I don't think John Wall is at a level right now that will attract a star to play with him. Chris Paul, Derron Williams, Derrick Rose, and Rajon Rondo are all at that level right now. Hopefully Wall will be there in a couple of years, but we don't know for sure if he will or not. Yeah he can score and get to the bucket, but he still has a ways to go when it comes to commanding the floor and being a general. And it seems like in todays NBA, you can throw all of the money you want at a free agent star player. If your roster sucks, they'll look another way. Nowadays, they'd rather take less money and go to a title contender rather than cash out on a max deal with a celler dweller team.

What makes you think Dwight Howard or any "star" for that matter will even want to sign with the Wizards? You think he'd want to go from a talent loaded consecutive playoff appearance team in the Orlando Magic where he at least has a shot at a ring to the rebuilding Wizards full of unproven draft picks who can't even muster up 25 wins and probably won't be competitive for a few more seasons? Dwight isn't stupid, he knows that he is in his prime and athletes know that if they want a legit shot at a championship, they better seize the moment now with a good team because when their skills decline due to age/injuries, it drops quick. We couldn't even keep the scrub Mike Bibby here, as he wanted a buyout because he didn't want to play with a rebuilding team full off projects. Any chance of bringing an elite star here next season or the season after next may be shot. We need to focus on drafting correctly, building up the interior and defense, signing smart veterans who can contribute off of the bench, and hope that Wall buds into our star pg while adding pieces to help him out. May be a good idea to look for a better coach than Flip Colonel Saunders. He seems to not have the patience for a "rebuilding team". Once we have a decent core together and can muster up some wins and show that we can play smart basketball, then maybe a star can be lured to DC to add that final piece of the puzzle that will push us over the top. Oh, and trade Blatche!
