I have always did the all you can eat crabs but recently talking to some people they swear by eating jumbos and that once you do you wont go back to all you can eat. The difference is the cost, so my question is which do you prefer?

Steamed Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs... accept no substitution. NC Blues can't come close to the flavor. And those Asian Blues can't either.

There's something about the bay that makes the blue crabs sweeter than others. You know they're ches. blue crabs when you eat em. Nothing compares.

I could never eat just a few jumbos and be full...but then again I could sit around ALL day and eat crabs, literally! I go to this place a lot..usually $25 per person for all you can eat, sometime $20....sure as hell beats the price of a dozen jumbos

Most of the time they are mediums, but are awesome! I love living in SOMD

Jumbos are obviously better than mediums, but to be honest the taste was about the same.

Now the absolutely sweetest crabs I ever ate were from the Choptank river. Had em 2x and I swear those river crabs were better than any Chesapeake/NC/Louisiana crabs I ever had.

For me (Waldorf) that's probably one of the few redeeming qualities that this area offers. :ols:

Nah, it's not that bad at all as far as crime is concerned, though there are a lot of wannabe thugs living in the suburbs here that probably wish that it was Southeast. :ols:

My issue is the location itself. It so damn far away from everything that it takes about half of my gas tank to get to wherever I want to go. :ols:

We have a farm store nearby that brings in live Maryland Crabs. 8.99 a dozen for the small ones and 2.99 a pound for the jumbos. Two weeks ago they had run out of the Jumbos so I had to settle for the smaller ones. My wife had her heart set on crabs. They were almost like oversized spiders. I bought her a dozen, but I didn't eat any of them. Too much effort for too little meat.

Then last week I went back, and they had the Jumbos. SWEET!!.. I bought 8 of them at a cost of roughly 14.00 and feasted to my heart's content. No question, I will never buy the small ones again.
