Spec138
Wow ya'll weren't kidding, these things are delicious. Just got some from a Kroger near me. What the $/lb for most of them? I payed $1.79/lb
Major Harris
i paid 1.99 but they were on sale. the normal price said 2.99/ lb. which is steep, but they are good.
Smoot4Prez
I bought one this weekend. I still haven't tried it yet. I fear it's been built up too much. Do or die time when I get home!
Forehead
I bought a bag of these at Wegmans. I generally detest red apples, but these aren't half bad. However, they are still only #2 for me on the apple scale. Granny Smith will always have my heart.

ljs
I get tons of apples here, duh...anyway- prices are good if you are in low $1's right now- granny smith and Golden Delicious are .89 or .99, honeycrisp $1.29 on sale- I'll go read the rest of the thread now...ha. edit: Hmmm...I'm a Granny Smith man by nature but find myself intrigued. Bob, where did you find these in Woodbridge? I find my self picturing the grey poupon commercial while you say this...Almost sig worthy. Never had a Jazz, but a Fuji > than your 3-5 I'm with Zoony on this one. Fuji's are bomb. I'm not into the Reds too much, granny smith or Golden Delic. What's wrong with eating a tart, juicy Granny ?:hysterical: and :puke:
PokerPacker
The honeycrisp are good, but I think they lack a bit in tartness.
Titaw
The honeycrisp are good, but I think they lack a bit in tartness. You have to get the giant ones that Wegmans sells. The average size3d ones are not nearly as good. I bought a couple of average sized ones from Giant and they weren't nearly as tart or as good as the huge ones that Wegmans sells. zoony
Super target had them for 99cents a pound, I've never seen them that cheap And not all honeycrisps are created equal. Different growers I guess- but a Honeycrisp at Food City isn't as good as a Honeycrisp at super target (as far as national chains) ......
MissU28
i saw them at ralph's yesterday for $2.45 a pound.....but i am allergic to apples
Mickalino
I went Trick-Or-Treating......and all I got was frickin Honey Crisp Apples
dockeryfan
I'll take a good Macintosh apple over honeycrisp any day. Honeycrisp is good, but it's so damn sweet. Macintosh apples are like sushi. Good sushi/good macintosh = fantastic. Average sushi/avg macintosh = not even worth the time.

gca61087
I am officially addicted to these things now. I love how crisp they are...in a fluffy sort of way. If that makes sense. Great taste too; a nice balance of sweet and tart.
Bang
OK, so I bought two of them, and they're delicious. Worth the slight asthma I get from fresh apples. ~Bang
AllWorldSkinFan
I still haven't gotten over my Fuji kick yet, but I will try these if I see them.
Obibyn23
Just wanted to thank the OP of this thread...if not for you my teeth would not be sinking into the deliciousness of this apple as I type this one handed. I seriously eat these things like candy, and in fact it has replaced candy as my sweet tooth fixer. Thanks

MattFancy
Ok so I went grocery shopping last night and I remembered this thread. Giant had honeycrisp apples so I bought 5. I think it was like 2.50/lb or something. A little expensive, but worth it!
Major Harris
just tried a "pink lady" admittedly, i was drawn in by the name...."hmmm, could it possibly taste like THAT?" it was pretty good. no fuji or honeycrisp.
DCBnG21
I've been looking for these ever since I originally saw this thread but keep on striking out at the local grocery store. I'm going to hit a couple of different stores to see if I can find some.
