My whole family was sure it was a porn site....I mentioned it to my mom one time and she's like "....you're on WHAT SITE???"

That's funny, man.  My mom know about it because my dad showed this place over a decade ago.  He never posts, in fact, his post count is entirely from my accidentally being logged in as him at their house then having to edit it out.

Most times I talk to redskins fans on the street, they've never heard of extremeskins.  Very weird.

Most fans I know outside the board don't seem to know much about ES. At least, that is how they act.

Message board posting is probably something becoming more obsolete these days, with twitter and facebook around.

Very true.  At minimum, I believe it's why we don't see more younger fans (teenagers or very early 20s) here like we used to back in the day.

Re: Matt McConaughey's culture video, hit it right on the head. I'm sitting at the ferry otherwise I would start a thread on it. The Washington Redskins culture has been lost for 20+ years. We are a bunch of drunken Indians, wrapped in disease infected blankets who have lost our proud heritage and native ways, if you ask me.

Don't sweat it, you're part of that "why the hell are you a redskins fan, they suck" generation, builds character : )    26 ain't old, enjoy it.

Yeah, at 50 in ATL...been a Redskins fan since I was 7...they look at me like i'm absolutely out of my mind...never knowing that this was Skins region LONG before the Falcons came along, about when I was born.  I shove about 30 more years of a franchise at 'em, and they're all sayin' "I never knew that...":o

When I say "Christal Chandelier", no one knows I'm referring to the last Falcons SB QB, who got broken somehow in every game that season, but still managed to start a SB.  No one can tell you about Eugene Robinson getting arrested for picking up a hooker the night before the game.

God, I'm ****ing old.

So how often are you out in public, and you talk to someone wearing Redskins gear about the team, and you wonder if they post here?
This weekend i was in Va. Beach for a tennis tournament, and got to talking about these two guys about Kirk. And i figured, since there's 10s of thousands of members here, I might be talking to one of you.

So how do you find out?

I always ask fellow Redskins..don't recall too many knowing what I was talking about...I tend to follow up with the 980 phone app too..

thats sad...this is a better format because of how we discuss topics and information... it facilitates this style of communication...I think...maybe the type of discussions we like to have are slowly dying away to 120 characters...

I was at the bar parade morning and talking to a guy who just moved here, that I know is a huge skins fan. Turns out he's either an original member or close to it, but doesn't post anymore. Forget his username, but I definitely knew it.

Having mixed feelings about Kyle potentially becoming 49ers HC. Unless he can be paired with a strong GM with real powers, I'd stay far, far away from any team where a Jed York reigns as he does. That man is poison ivy. Chiggers. If he can hold out, the Cardinals gig can be his next year; that's what McDaniels is aiming for.

I don't know where else to put this, but has anymore come out about Kirk possibly not wanting to be here in Washington?  I remember he was asked about it right after the season ended and he made some not so reassuring comments....but some folks chopped it up as him not wanting to talk about it and leave that discussion to his agent.

I've read this several times, and I find it kinda silly. If Cousins REALLY didn't want to be in Washington, he could talk his way out of town.

Cousins and his agent have taken the stand that his contract negotiations are not about how much he wants to be here, but how much the Redskins want him to stay.

It is a different tactic, rather than gushing all over the team you play for, but I don't believe he is trying to get out of town.

Having said that, I think that if Cousins had his choice of teams, he's be QBing the Detroit Lions right now. :)

I will say this.  Garcon was recently on the NFL Network.  Wore a Redskins sweatshirt and when first asked about free agency said, "I want to be in Washington, DC."  Later, he did leave himself open to other opportunities, but many Skins fans would like to see Kirk do what Pierre did.

I'm not saying Kirk is wrong.  Just saying some fans would like to hear him come out and say he wants to be here.  But that's not the way he's chosen to handle this apparently.  That's his choice.

Didn't he grow up a Bears fan? :rofl89:

Anywho...

So I work with a bunch of lawyers... one of them is a big Giants fan.  I hadn't seen him since around Thanksgiving... so he came up to me yesterday and was almost literally flexing in front of me like "Yeah, we beat your Redskins."  I replied, "Yes, but you're in cap heal now and there really is no where that you can improve your team unless you get really lucky in the draft.  We had a winning record and 70 mil in cap space with at least 9 draft picks."  To which he replied, "I don't care, we beat you guys and made the playoffs."

Really not sure if he was trying to get my goat or if he was just acting like he was five, but I do genuinely believe that Giants fans absolutely hate us that way now.  And I love it.  Cause **** them...

Personally, I don't need to hear that.  Let him get his money.  Just don't take too long in doing it is all.

Nah, I figured because he has talked about playing on a team where he was from.

Since he was pretty much raised in Michigan, the Lions would be the obvious choice, but it may very well be the Bears. :)

No, he grew up a Bears fan.

He said it in his presser after we beat them.

I was just trying to be nice by giving you the answer in the form of a question....
