Yeah yeah yeah we got 2 games left whatever.. I'm already thinking next year. What would you like to see happen? I for one would like to see us get a little more financially responsible. If possible lets gut some of these older players.. After June 1st if need be, get their cap space off our books. We got 34 year old players making more money than 24 year old players who are better than they ever were. Lets get rid of these people.. I'm talking Springs, Griff, Taylor.

Lets load up on draft picks. Lets evaluate the talent we have and see if we can get some value for them.. Anyone on our oline, even if we only get a 4th or 5th for them.. Do it. This team needs a youth movement. Get kids in here with high motors and something to prove.. Anyone watching our defense yesterday knows this team is playing like it has nothing to prove at all. There is no pride. Maybe get a pick for JC late second early 3rd. I don't know that's a tricky one. Betts? Washington(if he isn't cut). ARE, (sorry blondie) Rock? Something to get us some youth on this team..

Load up on lower draft picks, trade them in for higher if you can.. If not draft the best talent you can.

What a lot of people don't understand is, you don't draft for need.. Any coach in the world will tell you that, especially after the 3rd round.. You draft the best possible talent at your given pick. This is how guys like Chris Horton come about. Regardless you can't totally ignore your needs come draft day and I'd hope to see at least 2 top tier o-linemen come out of the draft and some second/third round d-line help.

I would like to see us pick up a stud DT in FA.. park him right next to AC to give him help and lets see if the sacks start coming.

Kicker/Punter.. However we get these guys.. We need to quit screwing around with our special teams and start paying some real attention to it.. SS and Plakerdouche need to go. We need some real talent at these positions.

Sign and lock Hall to a 3-5 year deal.. That's just me.. he knows he's playing for a contract right now. I'm never sold on guys playing well in that situation that's why I say avoid the seven year deal. Make him prove himself first. 6 games doesn't do that in my book.

Running back.. We need a serious combination.. Betts and Portis are about the same size.. That's not fooling anyone, that's not unsettling anyone.. We need a big bruiser back like Brandon Jacobs, to spell Portis..

In a dream we'd fire Vinny and get a real GM and scouts.

First of all, you need to stop with the Vinny bashing. Yes, the man has made some mistakes. But this past draft was his first in charge. Gibbs was in charge of player personnel. He had the last say.

The are some starters on both sides of the ball that need to go. Both lines need work. I agree with you about the running back situation. Portis needs help. C.J. Spiller would be a nice pick. But the team needs picks. Vinny needs to package Betts with some others and send them away for picks. Mid round picks would be fine. I'm cool with that.

LKB is right, trading Portis would give us a massive cap hit. It's just not feasible.

Since Campbell still has 1 year left on his rookie contract, trading him would be very cap friendly. While he hasn't lit it up, he's a big QB with a strong arm and good mobility. And he's still young. He's not suited for the WCO, but he's got trade value. I could see a team like the Lions giving up a 1st or 2nd for him, especially since they have extra picks in the upcoming draft that they aquired in the Roy Williams trade.

In retrospect Collins should have started for us 2 years ago, but at his age he's not a viable option going forward. I could see the FO pursuing a WCO QB like Hasselbeck or McNabb in the offseason, with Colt then waiting in the wings.

Assuming that we're going to pick somewhere between 13th and 16th, I can see the top four OTs being off the board. The best lineman available would be Alex Mack, the center out of Cal. But he should be on the board until somewhere around the low 20s. If we could trade down to that spot and pick up a late 2nd pick at minimum, then we could draft Mack and probably Boone for the RT spot or Herman Johnson at G. That would make me happy. Build the line for the future with Zorn or whomever.

i think the only guys you definitely keep are:

WR - Thomas, Kelly, Moss (but ONLY as a slot WR and return specialist)

TE - Cooley, Davis, possibly Yoder (i think Yoder is more valuable to this team than many realize)

RB - Portis (he will at least help to bridge the gap during possibly rebuilding time. can help the team win some games, but we need to start looking for the next guy at some point)

OL - Samuels, Reinhart (horrifying that i can only name 2 OL guys that i am certain i want around)

QB - ????????? man who knows.

DL - Andre Carter. i think he still plays with some fire and is a fine DE maybe in a rotational situation, even if his contract doesnt dictate that he is a rotational guy. i am torn on Montygomery/Golston.

LB - everyone is right - Fletcher tells the redskins when he goes, and not the other way around. the consumate professional and a guy that we are lucky to have as a Redskin. keep Blades and Fincher. Rocky looked AWFUL yesterday i thought, but keep him aroudn and give him more time to come back 100% healthy.

DB - keep Hall and Rogers. Springs needs to go for reasons that have been stated 1000 times, and Smoot could not cover 80% of the posters here. he would get beaten by a Fathead of a decent WR.

Does anyone think that Landry looks like ST did the year before last? coming up hard, but at some poor angles and generally not looking like he is relying as much on instinct?

Obviously, keep LL and Horton.

im really not sure i am sold on anyone else. and, mind ylou, 2 weeks ago i wanted CAmpbell aroudn longer. im not sure if i do anymore. he should get some more time to prove himself but we need to start looking for someone else. worst case scenario we find another good young QB. best case scenario, JC comes aroudn and we have a Brees/Rivers situation.

Okay we need to rebuild the offensive line for sure. I think samuels and Rabach can give us another year cause we can't come up with five new starters in one draft. Keep samuels, put reinhardt at LG, Keep Rabach, draft/get free agent RG, draft a RT. Get rid of kendall, thomas and Jansen. Keep Heyer as a backup.

It absolutely will not happen, but....it's always fun to dream.

The Skins will never be a passing team, The NFC east runs the ball, which is why we need a coach who understands that. I like Zorn, just dont like him as a redskins....we were great when we stuck to the run this year, then Zorn wanted to get cute and showoff Jason Campbell....

No I would not love that. I don't want Cowher here and I love Gregg Williams but Greg Blache has proven to be just as effective in maintaining a strong defense.

If we have a coaching change it needs to be an offensive-minded coach, and that's not Bill Cowher. We've seen proof that first-year offenses can work in this league.

I would love this:

Cowher hired as GM/coach and Vinny demoted or let go. I have no hard feelings with Vinny, I just don't believe he'll ever be completely able to do what's best for the team with the owner whispering in his ear.

We need a coach to come along that Danny is in awe of (like he was with Gibbs). That's the only way we'll get someone other than Vinny making personnel decisions.

Give Cowher full control and I guarantee that, within 3 years, we're a tough, young team that has rebuilt both lines and has TEAM players at the skill positions.

Cowher knows what it takes to be successful. Even if he only came in for a few years he may be able to get a handle on all the problems in the organization. Fire Vinny. Tell Dan to sit back, shut up, have a coke and smile and enjoy the show.

Let Cowher get his staff in place and find a suitable replacement for him when he retires. Remember Cowher had 2 head coaches on his staff when he left. Russ Grimm (considered to be HC material) and the current HC of the Steelers. He surrounds himself with talent.

As for the Scouting.. I like Morocco Brown. Maybe keep him in place and build upon that.

Plus, Cowher runs a 3-4, the Grilliams defense is 4-3. Doesn't make any sense.

Cowher is a defensive guy. He's not going to be told who is DC is, and he's not going to bring in GW.

I doubt he'd take the job here even if Snyder doubled whatever other offer he'd get.

I think that would be a disastrous pairing. Cowher wants coaches who mind-meld with him.

When that doesn't happen, he fires their ass (see Gilbride, Kevin; Sherman, Ray; and Lewis, Tim).

Williams demands complete autonomy. Cowher is not going to give that to anyone; he didn't even give that to Lebeau.

I don't understand how some people reach the conclusions they do.

1. You thought Campbell played better last year.

Last, year, Campbell played 13 games. His stats over a full season, averaged out, would have been 3,323 yards, 15 TD's, 13 INT's.

This year? 3,366 yards, 14 TD's, 7 INT's. And yes, I would love for his TD numbers to be better, but how can you possibly say he threw the ball better last year?

2. We ran the ball.

Clinton Portis is on pace for 8 more carries this year than last, already has more yards than last year, and has a YPC average thats .7 yards higher this year. Try again.

3. We threw to Cooley.

You must have been one of those people who shut the T.V. off early. Chris Cooley just set the Redskins record for receptions by a tight end in a single season. He hasn't gotten in the end zone as much, but how can you say we don't throw to him? HE JUST SET A FRIGGIN RECORD FOR RECEPTIONS!!!

Cowher is not going to coach this team so you might as well get that silliness out of your head already. Williams is not going to come back to this team at ANY point. How many times in your life have you been fired by your boss and made to look like an idiot, only to turn around later on and come back to that same boss.
