Appeals to the uneducated masses of his race by enabling them to play the victim card rather than accepting blame for their own self-defeating behaviors. Everyone knows he's corrupt as hell, but he's just managed to insulate himself enough to survive while everyone involved with him gets locked up. Claims the feds are setting him up/ unfairly persecuting him. Has no clue about policies, but commands undying loyalty from equally clueless minions. Also, Marion Barry got a masters in biochemistry and was one of the founding members of SNCC. Please do not make stupid comparisons like this and read up on people before you make that step.
