Rudy Giuliani won't give up 'pot of gold' Florida condo to bankruptcy creditors: report

Bankrupt Rudy Giuliani's "pot of gold" may be his prized Palm Beach condo.

Creditors say they want to sell the pad, but have so far been rebuffed by the former New York City mayor.

"Accordingly, the Committee respectfully requests that this Court compel [Giuliani] to take all necessary steps to sell the Florida Condo and obtain homeowners insurance in order to preserve and protect estate resources and abide by his duty to maximize the value of the estate for the benefit of his creditors," according to court papers filed on Friday in New York's Bankruptcy Court and first reported by Politico's Kyle Cheney.

Creditors suggest they're being stonewalled to add the Florida home to the collection offerings which also include a $25,000 Mercedes-Benz SL500, a signed Joe DiMaggio shirt and Reggie Jackson photo - unknown, three New York Yankees World Series rings worth $30,000, and over $1.4 million in retirement accounts.

"On several occasions, [Giuliani] has emphasized his limited assets available for distribution to creditors—according to the [his] counsel, 'there’s no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.'"

"Of this purported limited pool of assets disclosed by [Giuliani], the Florida Condo is a key asset, and the proceeds thereof will be available to satisfy the claims of his creditors."

They accuse Giuliani of making "no effort to monetize this nonexempt property of the estate."

Big donation to Rudy Giuliani defense fund is target of lawsuit alleging fraud by donor

One of the largest donations to Rudy Giuliani’s legal defense fund is at the center of a new lawsuit that argues the $100,000 contribution rightfully belongs to victims of an alleged online fraud scheme.

The donation by Matthew Martorano in September accounted for nearly 13% of all the money that Giuliani, the former attorney for Donald Trump and onetime New York City mayor, raised in the fund.

The fund was intended to help Giuliani pay for lawyers in the Georgia election interference case — where Trump is a co-defendant — and in a civil defamation case that Giuliani lost, brought by two Georgia election workers.

But the plaintiff in the new civil suit — filed after CNBC reported on Martorano’s donation earlier this year — claims that $100,000 flowed from Martorano’s participation in an alleged online skin care product scam. They are seeking “to unwind” the donation to Giuliani.

There is no public evidence that Giuliani and Martorano know each other. CNBC has asked a spokesman for Giuliani if they did.

Still, the claim adds another layer of legal wrangling to the fight over Giuliani’s remaining assets. The former mayor filed for bankruptcy protection in December, after a judge ordered him to pay the election workers $146 million.

Giuliani “should give all the money back” that he received from Martorano, said Kevin Kneupper, the attorney who filed the lawsuit alleging fraudulent transfer in Fulton County against Martorano, his wife and corporate entities on behalf of his client, LeAnne Tan, who is also the named plaintiff in the federal racketeering lawsuit in California.

Giuliani spokesman Ted Goodman, in an email to CNBC, said, “This is a lawsuit unrelated to us.” He had no immediate additional comment.

"Did his attorney inform him otherwise?"

Edit:

And did his attorney inform him it was illegal, after he solicited political help from Russia?  Or after Ukraine?

Rudy Giuliani Admits to Possessing Child Pornography in Self-Incriminating Statement

In a conversation with a pro-Trump pastor in Tulsa, former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani made a startling confession that could potentially incriminate himself. Speaking at Sheridan Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Giuliani disclosed that he possesses a hard drive containing child pornography. This admission came as Giuliani recounted an incident where the FBI seized his electronic devices.

According to Giuliani, when the FBI arrived at his home with a warrant to confiscate his electronics, he arranged them on his dining table. In a theatrical manner, he pointed out two hard drives placed at the end of the group, one of which contained what he described as “edited” material related to Hunter Biden, purportedly to exclude objectionable content, while the other contained child pornography.

“The first one is Hunter Biden’s hard drive, and it is edited because we didn’t want people that shouldn’t, see the child pornography. And the second one has the child pornography,” Giuliani said. “…It is edited because we didn’t want people that shouldn’t, see the child pornography. And the second one has the child pornography…”

Giuliani then proceeded to criticize the FBI for not taking action regarding the hard drive they already had in their possession, expressing his dissatisfaction and suggesting they should be ashamed. Some within the MAGA Republican circles have circulated the narrative that the hard drive belonged to Hunter Biden.

The circulating “hard drive” associated with Hunter Biden may have been subject to manipulation, including the addition of files such as these. Giuliani assumed that all the files on his hard drive were linked to Hunter Biden. He also mentioned having a backup copy of the hard drive stored in his safe.

During his appearance at Sheridan Church, Giuliani made other controversial statements. He asserted that Trump was unaware that obtaining “dirty information” on a political opponent constituted a crime.

Giuliani bankruptcy creditors fire off subpoenas to try to establish whether Trump owes him money

Creditors in disgraced former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s bankruptcy case have issued subpoenas to his associates to try to determine whether his former client Donald Trump owes him money, as the ex-mayor has previously claimed.

The Committee of Unsecured Creditors — individuals and entities that Mr Giuliani owes — served more than a dozen subpoenas on Friday in an effort to recover his assets. Mr Giuliani filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after being hit with a massive $148m verdict for defaming two election workers.

The former Trump lawyer listed a “possible claim for unpaid legal fees against Donald J Trump” in a January bankruptcy court filing. The following month, he elaborated in a hearing that he is owed $2m in unpaid wages for a spurious legal battle to overturn election results in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.

However, Mr Giuliani underscored that the money is owed not by Mr Trump himself, but by either Trump’s campaign and/or the Republican National Committee. He also suggested that the arrangement was made verbally, calling it a “word-of-mouth situation.”

The Independent previously reported that the creditors’ committee is “discussing” taking legal action against Mr Trump to recover this $2m — a move that Mr Giuliani has said he does not want to take.

Now, the creditors’ committee has issued subpoenas to obtain documentation to substantiate the unpaid wages claim.

He's certainly entitled to finding any money owed him. Good luck!

Ignorance is always an excuse for those in power.  Politicians and Police always play that card and it works.  Because if there's two classes of people who should be given a pass for not knowing the law, it's those that write it and those that execute it.
