OK. I never say this. But we need to lose out. There are 4 or 5 starting caliber QB's in this draft. And if we lose out we will pick no lower than 7th. We have to draft a QB this year. It isnt even debatable anymore. If that guy needs to sit for a few games so be it. We must have and NFL caliber arm in this draft.

The D-line has had an up & down season, but before covid ravaged what was remaining of them this past 10 days, they were actually playing a lot better.  O-coordinators are scheming around them which is why you saw just about every single run play in the 2nd half go to the outside.  That is where your linebackers have to make plays, or even Safeties and other DBs.  And linebacker was a known weakness going into the season.  It is a unit full of non-starting caliber players, and a rookie that has physical upside but is very raw.  Landon Collins has improved the unit greatly since moving to it, but much like the long illustrious history of our big name FA signings, he can't seem to stay on the field.

We are also good at signing high priced free agent wide outs from the Panthers who stay hurt and never see the field. We are on #2 now.

Jay gruden did this had a playoff year then had us competitive  and close to one the next year, last year we

were 7-9 and this year we are the same i dont think we should be patting rivera on the back

Playing playoff games or having dreams of grandeur in December. We will never have more. That’s the peak. Getting into the dance. If you have delusions of more you’re  in for even more disappointment. This is our peak under Dan. It will never be better. Ever. This is the golden age of his ownership.

They’re going to try and win every game.

 

But they’ve lost so much, they probably can’t win any of them anyway.

 

Its really a pity.  They were going well, has turned the corner, but the injuries and situation just finally caught up with them.
