Plenty people didn’t want him because of the issues he had in highschool, thinking that behavior would continue as an adult.

The only issue he had in HS was apparently he punched or got into a fight with someone who called him a racial slur. If anything that makes him commendable.

Parsons was the guy I wanted more than anyone in 2021. Sucks so much he went to Dallas.

Pretty sure he was named in a Hazing suit when he was at Penn State, pretty gross stuff if I recall.

It's so surprising to me that none of these sacks have resulted in fumbles by the QB

It's unbelievable really. I watch Dallas have a rather mundane, nothing special sack on Stafford and naturally the ball comes out and they scoop and score it for the touchdown. Never friggin happens for us. Every qb we sack, has Hercules hands and grips the ball like worlds strongest man competitors 😡

That just gets more depressing the more I hear/see it.

It's stunning really. Unfathomable to have zero fumble recoveries and just one turnover forced in 5 games. It would help if our dline would get their hands up and bat some balls up in the air. Other teams do it quite often. Leads to some easy ints. Of course we'd probably drop them anyway, since our hands are laced with butter and motor oil.

The Hell of this season is, I don't think the key members of our front have ever played better.  Payne and Allen have been fantastic, Jamin Davis has quietly played well, Holcomb has been as productive as you could expect for a guy with average talent, Obada and JSW and Toney have been surprisingly productive for an edge depth stable, and Montez was absolutely dominant Sunday and was as big a game-wrecker as any edge in the league.  You put a healthy Chase Young into that mix and that's as good as we're going to get from a front six.  The problem is the rest of the team is so dysfunctional and our coaching is just so behind the curve that we can't win.

I would sign Payne to a long term deal ASAP, I would let the season play out with Montez, and I would invest no more big resources in the front in terms of draft capital.  Spending that second rounder on Mathis was already too much and a mistake.  All I would be hunting for is a Malcom Rodriguez type of late day 2/day 3 bargain stack linebacker.  We need to be investing our best resources into rebuilding the OL and the secondary.

Yeah.  Fumbles are random.  I think the lack of INTs is indicative of an issue though.  We're getting pressure and have outplayed the OL in a lot of our games, we should be generating picks.  I wouldn't be surprised if scheme is an issue that leaves our DBs in poor position to play the ball, and I think the lack of playmaking talent in our back seven is a problem.   The only real hawk with any ball skills at all of the group is Kendall Fuller, and he spends most of his time overmatched and playing catch up.  Juice can play for deflections with his length, but he doesn't have true ball skills.  And he's a press man specialist anyway, who will rarely be in position to pick off passes.  And our linebackers are downhill thumper types that can barely tread water in coverage, they're not going to be aggressively playing passing lanes like a Devin Lloyd type.

You would hope for more playmaking from Bobby McCain, but he's so small and he too struggles just to keep up that playmaking just isn't in his mentality right now.

We need a true Alpha corner or safety back there to lead the secondary.  William Jackson sucks and was a bust of a signing, he is no true #1 corner.  Seeing Surtain and Jaylon Johnson and JC Horn play this season, man it would be nice to have one of them.  If there was some absolute stud like that leading our secondary, I think everyone else in the unit could take a deep breath and stop crapping their pants and start playing with some aggression and confidence again.  Play downhill and get some picks.

Instead Sweat will have Tannehill in the grasp and he'll still fling it to a guy for a first down on 3rd down on a drive that results in a TD.

There is a bit of a luck element involved to not generating/recovering fumbles. When it comes to picks though, our DBs just don't have good ball skills or instincts. Someone like D Hall in this defense would have three or four picks by now.

The defense is definitely playing better overall over the past couple of weeks, but giving up the stupid untimely big play is still a huge issue and I believe it is one of the lesser reasons being talked about in the loss to Tennessee.  Right after the Commanders scored a go-ahead TD, the very next drive Tanehill is in the grasp of a defender but manages just to heave a slow arching rainbow throw downfield that had no business being caught, but the safety is doing......what I don't know and gives up a catch that puts Tennessee right back into position to score a TD.

Those kind of back breaking plays have to stop, especially at that point in the game.  It swung all momentum back to Tennessee.

I was so frustrated by McCain on that play. Any decent Safety at the very least makes a play on the ball and most in the NFL come down with an interception there.

So many on this board loved Jaylon Johnson during the draft. On Jaycee Horn, how nice would it be to be a contender who can just give away their first to get a guy like him on a rookie contract for a few more years?

The DTs are dominating allowing for easy pressures for our Edge guys. Sweat has been legitimately very good as well.

He had a "pretty good" game last Sunday, but it was punctuated with bone-head plays.  He also has been invisible the previous weeks.
