Now, now.

It's also completely believable that Lindsey was urging the use of lethal force, because he was aware that the rioters were prepared for that option, and were expecting to use it as a trigger for further escalation.  And Lindsey was simply trying to goad them into that scenario.

At Least 8 Republicans Who Were At The Jan. 6 Rally Just Got Elected To Office

At least eight Republicans who attended the Jan. 6 rally in Washington, D.C., that turned into a deadly insurrection were elected to office Tuesday.

Three were elected to state legislatures, and five won positions at the local level.

Although most have claimed they didn’t breach the U.S. Capitol on that day, all were participants in the demonstration leading up to the attack, standing alongside extremists to take part in the finale of a months-long anti-democratic campaign to falsely claim that then-President Donald Trump hadn’t really lost the 2020 election.

Their victories on Tuesday are a possible sign of things to come: HuffPost previously identified at 57 state and local GOP officials who attended the Jan. 6 rally, many of whom will be up for reelection — and will likely keep office — next year.

Yeah, that's a shame....

Jan. 6 Defendant Who Said She's 'Definitely Not Going To Jail' Sentenced To Prison

Jenna Ryan, a Donald Trump enthusiast who tweeted that she’s “definitely not going to jail” after she stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, was sentenced to 60 days in prison on Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper said Ryan ― a Texas real estate agent who flew to D.C. on a private plane and promoted her business as she livestreamed in the Capitol ― played a “lesser role in the criminal conduct that took place” than many others did. “But that does not mean that you don’t have any culpability in what happened that day,” Cooper said.

When she chose to leave her hotel room, she knew that she was going to something that wasn’t a peaceful protest, Cooper said.

“I don’t think you could have missed the fact that this was no peaceful protest,” Cooper said. “You were a cheerleader, you cheered it on.”

Ryan, who faced four charges, pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count, admitting she “paraded, demonstrated, or picketed” inside the Capitol when she knew that she didn’t have permission to be there.

“You’re not being singled out for your political views or anything like that,” Cooper said. “It’s how and where you decided to express them.”

^ ^ ^  She tweeted in the weeks after the riot "Sorry I have blonde hair white skin a great job a great future and I'm not going to jail."

She also has been complaining about cyber bullying and is now making a non-profit to defeat it and educate people. Someone made fun of her mother passing and it really upset her.

All the while, she was a Trump supporter. Trump who, on the world stage not just on twitter where maybe 300 people saw it, has become famous for his cyber bullying. Specifically of the dead and their families. So its fun to see her get everything thats coming to her.

Why hasn't Steve Bannon been charged with contempt of Congress yet by the U.S. Department of Justice?  The House voted on October 21 to hold him in contempt for ignoring its subpoena to appear before the committee investigating January 6.

She engenders about as much sympathy as the dip**** photographed propping his feet on Nancy Pelosi's desk.

Enjoy those 60 days Jenna.  Think of it as a low-rent spa getaway.

Yeah that's like someone making a video of them vandalizing property, posting it online, and then saying it's the media's fault that they got in legal trouble. Hey ****stick, maybe don't break the law and then brag about it next time?

Is she even aware that the DOJ has opened an investigation into GA prisons?  (I saw it on local news yesterday.)

Aye, projection.

"Oh, not THOSE prisons.  Not in Georgia, where blacks make up 32% of the population yet constitute 60% of the prison population.  Those prisons are fine."

Reminds me of how one of the Trump rioters was complaining a while back about how he was in jail with "inner city" criminals

aka "I don't deserve the same treatment as these black people"

Jake Tapper presented a documentary on CNN last night that outlined - step by step - the traitorous effort by Trump and his cronies to overturn the results of the 2020 election, right up to the riot at the Capitol and beyond.  See it on demand.

It is unsparing in naming names.  And you may notice that no Democrats are interviewed in the film.  Only Republicans - principled Republicans with enough of a moral compass to do and say what's right instead of what's convenient for their political futures - are interviewed.

It lays out for the historical record in chronological fashion the outrageous conduct of those who would lie and cheat to overturn the will of the American people, to hold on to power, and to assuage the fragile ego of a sociopath.

May God damn Donald Trump to hell for his mendacity and for his reckless, selfish trashing of American norms.
