and Darnold is potentially a one year rental, unless they pick up that 5th year option. Odd considering they are giving up a 2 and 4 next year. Got to think they plan on Darnold being on the roster then.

They must be thinking more than one year. Too much draft capital being thrown in

Looks really desperate for the Panthers on the surface, but a lot of these trades have compensation dependent on performance/starting time ect.

 

Give it an hour before you lock in your personal rulings.

 

 

Glad we dodged one bullet, but this hurts my chances for dodging another chubby one in the draft.

Yep the looming nightmare is finally over :ols: although once we traded for Fitz I wasn't that worried.  There was also some evidence they didn't dig Darnold that much -- Breer, Russini, and Finlay hit that point

This year is not over yet...while unlikely, one  of these guys could still move. Stranger things have happened

“SportsScoop.com” just reported that the Jets called Rivera late last night to see if he would beat the Panthers offer fir Darnold and he angrily responded, “I’m not in the salvage business but you can always give Fred and Lamont a call— you big dummy!”
