JCB
Disgusting filth. They just throw **** at the wall and append the word "constitution" to it, and their cultists lap it up.
NoCalMike
So this is barely the tip of the iceberg and it seems like there is no argument to be made that Trump didn't do this. So what is the right's defense of it currently?

Fresh8686
People trotting out the “unseemly” defense are ignoring or ignorant of the two separate criminal referrals issued in response to the call or what the FEC chair has repeatedly called a felony (albeit indirectly). The Barr/Trump DOJ quashed those referrals because supposedly they “can’t quantify the value” of a Ukrainian investigation on Biden but that’s bull**** and besides it’s still obviously in the arena of high crimes and misdemeanors since it goes against the very spirit of protecting our elections from abuses of power and foreign influence. This is kind of **** is exactly what impeachment isn’t supposed to be for.

The 12th Commandment
Pelosi is actually handling this right. Do exactly the opposite of what Trump and his congressional stooges are trying to get you to do. She's got plenty of time. The more people read about the admin refusing to testify, changing their story and whining continually about it before the election, the better. Congress doesn't arrest people, that's what the Department of Justice is for. Democracy is what brought us this current DOJ. (President --> Senate) Democracy will have to bring us out. Election in 2020, vote these ****ers out.

Agreed, They want a vote now so if things keep getting worse, they can still go to the MAGA crowd and say "look, I supported him with you......" Pelosi should slow walk it while they lose their **** over transparency but somebody not testifying to turning over documents is still being the most transparent admin in the history of the universe. I dont believe that's accurate: https://www.salon.com/2019/05/08/can-democrats-in-the-house-of-representatives-arrest-attorney-general-william-barr_partner/ Quote As Berman notes, the courts have granted both the House and Senate “authority to enforce their orders by imprisoning those who violate them — literally,” and order the sergeant-at-arms to take violators into custody. In 1821, the Supreme Court ruled that Congress has the “inherent authority” to arrest witnesses for failing to comply with lawful orders. That authority was reinforced in 1927, when, according to Reuters, the Court ruled that the Senate acted within the law by “sending its deputy sergeant-at-arms to Ohio to arrest and detain the brother of the then-attorney general.”
