It's so very Yankees to sign a pitcher after the best season of his career, only for the newly multi-millionaire to go out and have a 10-15ish kind of season.

Cole, upon signing where the line is dotted (hopefully).

They all gave Houston the trophy in early October...

Well they made it there at least, in large part because of their pitching all season and it shutting down our bats in the postseason.

The Texas Rangers just acquired a player named Steele Walker.

The Yankees have to contend with a literal Walker, Texas Ranger.

He doesn't even step in the box with a bat. He just roundhouse kicks fastballs out of the park

And banging drums

When HOU is on the road next year, every home team should play this over and over in the stadium.. Warmups, walk up songs, everything.

Some much deserved psychological torture.

Giants just bought the 15th pick in last years draft for about $13 mil. Interesting way of doing business...and I have no idea what the Angels were thinking.

Angels were supposed to be in on Cole, and still a possibility for Rendon. Maybe they're trying to get resources where they can to finance the deal

I know one franchise that'll be happy to see Arenado leave the NL West. Like Helton, he's absolutely made a career off of the Giants.

Although...his younger bro is in the Giants minor leagues (AA)..so..

Nah.

Edit..I should add..in case no one else knows...after 20 years the left and left center field fences at PacBell/SBC/AT&T/Oracle Park are being moved in this off season (bullpens are being moved off the foul line area and behind the new fenceline).

It might actually become a hitter neutral park now.

that’s Trout’s problem as he was in a position to change it and chose not to do so. He’s perfectly content putting up amazing numbers and racking up MVPs while wasting his career in anonymity on garbage teams.

One can draw conclusions from that.

I mean he gets to live in beautiful LA and get paid $400 Mil. There is no guarantee he wins anywhere else.

The fact is, the history of baseball shows that any team that commits that kind of money to one player never wins.

Nats just won the WS paying Rendon/Soto about a total of 20 mill last season.

How much will the Angels pay Trout/Rendon next season?  70 mill?  Sheesh.
