This doctor said vaccines magnetize people. Ohio suspended her medical license.

wo years ago, a Cleveland area physician strode into the House Health Committee room and told state lawmakers that COVID-19 vaccines magnetize their hosts and “interface” with cell towers.

Her comments, the subject of widespread ridicule, triggered a swarm of 350 complaints to the State Medical Board and a chain of events that led to the regulators indefinitely suspending the medical license Wednesday of anti-vaccine activist Sherri Tenpenny.

The board, charged with protecting the public and overseeing the licensure of Ohio’s doctors, yanked Tenpenny’s license on procedural grounds rather than the substance of her comments. Board staff found she flouted investigators who came to visit, declined to answer written questions, and objected wholesale to the regulators’ inquiry.

“Dr. Tenpenny, neither you nor any doctor licensed by this board is above the law, and you must comply with the investigation,” said Dr. Jonathan Feibel, an orthopedic surgeon and medical board member. “You have not done so, and therefore, until you do, your license will be suspended.”

Dr. Amol Soin, a pain management specialist and board member, said at the hearing that the suspension has nothing to do with vaccines, magnets, or cell towers, but about the board’s basic duty to oversee conduct of physicians and physicians’ responsibility to comply.

A third of adults believe COVID-19 vaccines caused thousands of sudden deaths: poll

Belief in misinformation about key health issues persists among a good chunk of adults, with false claims about COVID-19, vaccines and reproductive health garnering a substantial amount of support, a poll released Tuesday by KFF has found.

Whether or not they believed the claims, nearly all participants in the survey were aware of the misinformation, with 96 percent saying they had heard at least one of the 10 claims presented to them. The most widespread misinformation claims had to do with COVID-19 and vaccines.

The new polling data found that a third of adults believed the COVID-19 vaccines “caused thousands of sudden deaths in otherwise healthy people,” with 10 percent believing that claim to be “definitely true” and 23 percent saying it was “probably true.” Another 34 percent said it was “probably false,” and 31 percent said that claim was “definitely false.”

Nearly a third of people also said they believed the parasitic deworming medication ivermectin was an “effective treatment for COVID-19.” Among the naysayers, 44 percent said that claim was “probably false” and 22 percent said it was “definitely false.”

Ok, I can't find anything legit except echo chamber stuff. Conservatives, govvie vets, etc. in my area are freaking out about some kind of "Biden lockdown" coming in September. A new strain from Canada? What did I miss?

We snapped the Ravens pre-season win streak and Howell was named week one starter.

I actually feel really bad for The Onion. It must be getting harder and harder by the day to write satire headlines with reality going so absolutely bat**** haywire like this.

There is a new strain that can evade the vaccines:

But it's not more deadly and there's no reason to think there will be any kind of lockdowns as a result of it.

I’m curious if I have Covid. I tested but it came back negative. I haven’t had bad symptoms with Covid in the past, but this past April I had it and it made me super tired and weak for about a month. I have been feeling that way the past couple of days. I’ve slept a lot. Not sure if that is what is going on.

I also read conservatives on Twitter saying this...only thing I found was one university in one city in one state was talking about instituting a mask mandate again for some reason, and it was extrapolated into "Biden's bringing back mandates right in time for the 2024 election!!"...apparently the plan was to once again give people a reason to choose mail-in voting instead of in-person voting, which we all know is rife with fraud and tomfoolery that the libs can then use to steal the election again. Or, something.

Best I can figure it's to rile up the base again. When I questioned one of the guys on where he heard this he squirmed and said "around". The conversation led directly to their vaccine conspiracies so I had to leave at that point.

In our SCIF these guys get all of their news and water-cooler gospel from the tabloid clickbait on the MSN homepage which is set as default for our government computers.

I think this is pretty much exactly what it is, and it will likely get worse as the 2024 election gets closer. The current Republican party has zero concrete policy positions outside of tax cuts for the wealthy, outlawing all abortions, and trying to make it as hard as possible for non-whites to vote, all of which are very unpopular with the majority of voters.

So they have to rely on scaring everyone they can and getting their base angry enough to get out and vote. It was caravans before, it will be "OMG Biden is going to lock me down and take muh freedoms!!!!1!!211" in 2024.

Read a thing on here, years ago.

There's a new do it yourself Covid test you can do at home.

Open a can of beer, and smell it. If you smell beer, then you have not lost your sense of smell. And since Covid can affect your sense of smell, that means you don't have Covid. Probably.

So, taste the beer. If you taste beer, then it means you haven't lost your sense of taste. You don't have Covid.

I tested myself 27 times last night. And tested negative every time.

But I woke up this morning feeling like ****.

I think I need to test myself again.

Former Trump adviser linked to dating site for anti-vaxxers called 4ThePURE

Michael Flynn, Trump's former national security adviser, appears to be launching an online community for anti-vaxxers called 4thePURE.

For a lifetime founding membership of $2,500, users will be free to connect with unvaccinated singles and also gain access to a directory of "COVID-19 unvaccinated patriot businesses," according to Insider.

In a video promoting the site, which first made the rounds on Twitter on May 9, Flynn delivers a pitch saying, "I'm honored to announce an opportunity to support a new freedom movement sweeping across the nation. 4thePURE is an online community meant to connect likeminded individuals who courageously stood against the COVID-19 jab campaign."

I’ve got to come up with a grift like this. The MAGA crowd is ripe for the picking and I’m tired of working.
