So - I tried to prepare and get my ducks in a row....but i was thrown off by all the crazy picks....here is what I'm rocking this season.  Thanks to all for the help.  Good luck to all this year:

Brother you did great!!

Smallwood is my sleeper starter for Philly I think he will supplant Blount. Not that that will stop me from dropping him he is first out the door when I need to. Just saying trade will enable me to keep him on the roster which is an added benefit imo (Think Kelley situation  a year ago).

Ah gotcha, yea I don't like Blount either and you gotta think someone will run the ball right?

Well, Ended up being based on Option #1. He accepted Seimian, Goff and Wright for Reed, Ginn and Prater

Haha glad to hear it. He was foolish to do that one, great job man!

so i did a 12 team keeper league

QB- Luck, Bradford

WR (3) - Thomas, K. Allen, A. Robinson, R. Matthews, K. Wright, J. Gordon, Amendola, M. Lee

RB(2) - Zeke, Powell, Abdullah, McFadden, Smallwood, K. Dixon

TE(1) Walker

K- Tucker

Def- Seattle

Thoughts where i can improve??

Great team, since you asked for some thoughts

1. QB - Luck scares me this year. The Offensive line is a mess, we don't know when he's going to return, and the teams putting out vibes that they may just mail in this year and rebuild. Obv you know as I do that without Luck you need another QB. Now the question is who could you add? See I see some fellas on the team I don't think I'd roster - Josh Gordon? Personally think that ships sailed and not buying even if he gets reinstated. Marques Lee? With Bortles throwing? No thanks. Dixon was already mentioned to you as well. If there was a rosterable Qb out there I'd probably make a preemptive grab on him. One guy who may be there is Carson Palmer, his ADP is low like Bradfords and he's better then where he's going in drafts. Another one if he's gone I'd look at is Brian Hoyer. He's better then most think and with Kyle running the show has top 15 upside this year.

2. WR - Starting three your gonna have some bye week issues and although I'm a Keenen owner myself we have to be worried about his health. Love the Kendall Wright stash, don't like the Rashard Mathews pickup. I know he had 9 TDs last year but if Decker stays healthy there is no chance he repeats that. Amendola I'd probably trade now before the games for someone under appreciated but valuable. I'm not a believer in him, and think the hype probably won't be higher then it is now. If a couple of games come and go and he does next to nothing then he's just dead weight

3. RB - think your in good shape here

4. TE - Walker worries me for a couple of reasons - Age (he's old), the receivers on the Titans is a massively crowded bunch, his replacement was drafted. All not too good of signs for him so if anyone comes sniffing could do better there.

5. K-Def - Solid man

Who would you start at flex, Gillislee or Mixon?  Standard scoring format

In a vacuum? Mixon. I think its too early to rely on Gillislee yet. He missed a bunch of time in preseason and was running with the third team in the third preseason game. Not saying he's not going to produce this year just saying he's much more risky then Mixon this week to me. It would really come down to this. If I looked across at my opponent this week and he looked like he was going to beat me then I'm taking the riskier player Gillislee this week because he has the higher ceiling. If I looked across and it looked like I was gonna win this week then I play the safer player Mixon this week to be sure I got some points.

Mixon brings up a point to me (this goes for him other players too...) to remember guys. The word "starter" is only a word. So the word is that Hill is the "starter", and people are bugging about that. Because a guy is the starter doesn't mean he's the only guy that's going to get work or the guy you actually want in your lineup.

My prediction this week is Hill starts, Baltimore bottles him up first half and Mixon is the rusher in the 2nd half. They did not draft Mixon in the second round with all that past history to not use him. The Bengals are going to use him a lot. He's looked better then all of the RB's on that team this preseason and is a duel threat RB in all areas of the game. Hill is in the final season in Cincinnati and will be phased out this year. Mixon is going to be starting before much longer. Don't worry too much about "starter" tag title

I doubt I will get him (waiver position 7 out of 10), but someone in my money league dropped Ameer Abdullah. He was the 39th overall pick.

Cray.

Who did he pickup?

So not trying to promote gambling so heed the warning but you guys should all be entering Draftkings FREE billion dollar contest. Rule is if you draft the perfect lineup this week they will give you a billion dollars. They also threw in 100k for the best performers. Completely free so even if this is blocked in your area you can play. It's free, fantasy football is fun and adds to the game watching experience, why not give it a shot?

Wish I could but Draftkings doesn't operate in Arizona (When Arizona made the Tribal Compact to allow some tribes to open Casino's they essentially gave the tribes veto power over anything they think is competition - so Fantasy games are illegal here - although many of the smaller operators ignore it - which is where I get my teams).

Pick 2(starting Antonio Brown obviously)

Sammy Watkins

Crabtree

Maclin

Another league(pick 1)

Crabtree

Tyreek Hill

Watkins and Crabtree, Flacco missed most of camp with a back disk issue, so he may be rusty.  And Crabtree again, Pats aren't going to let some gadget player go off on them, not at home.

Okay, pick 1:

Martavis Bryant @Cle

Kelvin Benjamin @SF

Stefon Diggs @NO

Leaning towards Bryant now

Tough one.  They are pretty close and all have great match ups,  If PPR, Diggs might get the most catches.  I like Benjamin but it is so close you should go with your initial gut and start Bryant.

So, for the first time ever I COMPLETELY forgot my draft date. NOT good when you're the only 2-time winner of our ES League and the defending Champion. *Hangs head and apologises to all the guys. And to top it off, I had the prime 2nd overall pick just to compound my frustration when I realised.

Anyway, here's the hand the computer dealt me. (I hadn't pre-ranked anyone as I never intended missing out damn it!).

Gibbs Hog Heaven
1. (2) Le'Veon Bell  (Pit - RB)
2. (23) Leonard Fournette  (Jax - RB)
3. (26) Dalvin Cook  (Min - RB)
4. (47) Michael Crabtree  (Oak - WR)
5. (50) Allen Robinson  (Jax - WR)
6. (71) Jameis Winston  (TB - QB)
7. (74) Tyler Eifert  (Cin - TE)
8. (95) Seattle  (Sea - DEF)
9. (98) Dan Bailey  (Dal - K)
10. (119) Cameron Meredith  (Chi - WR)
11. (122) Brandon Marshall  (NYG - WR)
12. (143) Thomas Rawls  (Sea - RB)
13. (146) Eli Manning  (NYG - QB)
14. (167)

Coby Fleener  (NO - TE

And I've subsequently dropped Rawis, Meredith and Fleener for Jacquizz Rodgers (Tampa), Corey Davis (TN) and OJ Howard (Tampa) respectively.

Could have been better. Could have been a LOT worse. A lot of rooks but all should be heavily involved pretty early. Few boom or bust breakout prospects.

Sans any trades when I sit down and take a good look at everyone else's rosters, I'm relatively happy starting my title defence.

Let the games begin!

Hail.

Thanks, ya, its non-PPR, so I'm just going to stick with Bryant (I think they may try to force it to him to get him back in the groove after being out for a year).

You don't wanna know. It's a 14 team league with two rb two wr one flex....slim pickins. But since you asked John brown and Danny amendola.

Ouch I guess Mixon.

The computer did a better job than you then. You should not have dropped Rawls or Fleener for Rodgers and OJ Howard (especially the later).

Why in the heck would you keep Fleener? I could half go with Rawls but I don't trust any Seatle back personally. And whilst Martin's suspended early they should lean heavily on Rodgers.

But Fleener?

Consensus rank of Fleener is 15 consensus rank of OJ Howard is 31.  This is more about Howard than Fleener although Fleener has some upside with Snead suspended and 2d year with Brees.

Completely disagree with that consensus. He's a bang average pro-TE who won't score you too highly in fantasy.

As regards the rook, I'm intrigued by the Bucs O. With Jackson stretching the field to what they already had in Evans, along with Martin, Brate and Howard should create mis-match nightmares in their two wide, two TE sets. Could be a real big year for Winston to add to an impressive first two the league.

Happy I started Kareem Hunt ... 40+ points tonight :)

I only started him in one of the three I have him in. In a related note in one league had Winston who I had to bench for Alex Smith, and the one team I'm really weak at RB has Gillislee.. Over all a good start to my mass of teams I was going against Brady in four ,Pats D in four, and Gronkowski in 4 (some on same teams).  Only went against Hunt in One and Hill in one and those were both cheaper leagues.

Fleener is potentially in a really good spot this year. For the first four weeks the number two receiver will be ted ginn. Ted ginn is not a good receiver he drops drops so many passes. The middle of the field is going to be open. Who will Bree's target there?

Fleener joined them last season and they paid him a lot of money. He was better down the stretch last year as he got to know the offense. Now this year they added AP and Kamara and should be strong running the ball leading to more first downs and more opportunities for the offense.

I like Fleener as a sneaky player this year much more then OJ Howard who is going into a situation with two starters and isn't the first option at the postion. He's more handcuff to Brate then offering stand alone value. Fleener is not competing with anyone for snaps and target share like Howard is.

His defense will be better but they will be in a lot of shoot outs this year. He is 6'6, has seasons with 8 TDs before, his QB is Drew Bree's...failing to see why he's going so low and being overlooked this year. He's not great but as a bye week filler for you with Eifert starting he's fine

Me too, was the 6th best rookie performance in the past 15 years and was just the beginning.

only thing I'm pissed about is that I didn't jam him in all my lineups on DraftKings. When I heard they were only dressing two backs this game I should have known. If they continue to do that he's gonna be the rookie of the year
