Republicans all over Twitter are hyperventilating about some AIDS activists staging a sit-in in McCarthy's office over PEPFAR funding (they were there for about 10-15 minutes before being arrested for unlawful entry), and screaming about how it was an insurrection and they should get 20+ years for seditious conspiracy.

Also, shut that government down baby. Since many of maga live on government checks thru social security, disability, etc..  they won’t take to kindly missing a check.

I know but the heat maga congressman will get from their own voters; will put pressure on them to end the shutdown. Maga won’t give a **** about non maga voters but when their own voters are angry, their tune will change.

 

 

Biden should make be planning to close things in red states first before the rest of the country.  Start with airports in red states. Hartfields in Atlanta is the world’s most  busiest.  If those air traffic controllers can’t get paid, shut down the airport.  There will be pain for everyone in a shutdown but they need to make pain affect the red areas more; especially in those maga red districts.

I've seen it happen before and the lesson didn't stick, obviously.  Wish it would and if I believed it would I'd get on board for some sacrificing to help out everyone else.  

 

I believe it will happen, because those hard right idiots will make it so and I'll sacrifice anyway.  It might get some short term benefit down ballot but long term they've whipped themselves into such a frenzy about the "culture" issues it won't matter.

 

Geez...here I am the pessimist in a convo with the all time board champ.  Lol
