Do you think the Rs gain seats in the House? The Senate I can see, but not the House. And if I had to bet right now, I think he does get re-elected, but also see him losing the popular vote again. Then those echo chambers became the preferred source of intelligence and were the ones that had Bush's ear. It wasn't an IC failure so much as it was pure hubris by ****ty people. When W took office, two of the things he did were: 1) Disbanded the group within CIA that was tasked with gathering information on Ossama bin Laden. 2) And created a group, I think within the Pentagon, tasked with grabbing any and all intel concerning Iraq, and forwarding that intel to the White House, before the CIA had a chance to inspect the intel for credibility. Because a number of them worked in the Reagan and HW administrations when Saddam acquired them from the US. Problem was Saddam used all the "WMDs" he had purchased in the Iran Iraq war. As well as against the Kurds and Iraqis. Also he had no infrastructure to build more. Why?
