OFFICIAL Root against the Seahags and Vikqueens thread

But for the Division title, don't we want to cheer for the Giants?

If we beat the Eagles, we win the division.  But if we don't, and the Giants win this week, the Giants would be playing for a possible Division title if the Redskins lost against Dallas right?

Yes, Giants need to win their last 2 while we lose our last 2 for the Giants to win the division. Eagles win the last 2 and they're in. So, if we lose against the Eagles we want NY to lose against the Vikings, but beat Philly. And we need to beat the Cowboys. Whatever the OP wrote as the header, I'm sorry... NO WAY am I rooting against the Vikings whether we beat the Eagles or not.

So, a bit confused on how this works.  Assumed we were going to play the Seahawks.  So the Sehawks ARE losing right now, and the falcons upset the Panthers.  Minnesota plays tonight.  How do we know who we are going to end up hosting and who we aren't?

I would prefer the Vikings and Falcons over the Seahawks too I believe...as much as I would love to end Seattle's season for a change.

Edit: Nevermind, doy...Went and looked at the playoff picture and realized we are the 4th seed so its just like any playoff system.  I see.  Haven't had to worry about it that much since the Redskins barely make the playoffs lol.

Wow according to the tracker, we will not get to play the sea chickens the first game.   We either get GB or the Vikings guys.

Still TBD, depending on who wins the NFCN and the record the second-place team has. Seattle has tiebreaker over Vikings; Packers have tiebreaker over Seattle.

My question is regarding the schedule. Is there any chance the Tampa-Carolina game is flexed to 4 pm so that the two top seeds vying for HFA throughout are playing at the same time?  Because if not and Carolina wins at 1, Arizona might just rest guys and make it easier for Seattle to win next week.

I would imagine GB vs Minnesota gets flexed to SNF.  Is that the only game that gets moved timewise next week?

All good points, they should IMO.

Redskins vs. Falcons isn't so crazy anymore.  In fact, if you look at this scenario closely it seems likely based on today's results. Update: I forgot that the outcome of the Rams vs. SF game is in play here so scratch that if the Rams win (and likely will, the Falcons are out).

Carolina beats the Bucs

Cards beat the Seachickens

Green Bay beats the Vikings

Falcons beat the Saints

Rams have to LOSE to the 49ers for any of this to matter so it's unlikely

If someone wants the skins to play anybody but the Seahawks, who should they be cheering for tonight?

That's easy.  A Vikings win tonight would be huge.  Arizona if I understand correctly could still lock up the #1 spot with a win and Carolina loss.  And they are on deck for Seattle.  If the Vikings win tonight regardless of what they do next next week -- and Seattle loses next week.  No Seattle for us.  If the Vikings lose tonight.  We need them to beat GB in GB and hope Seattle loses -- that's a more difficult scenario.  So Vikings winning tonight would go a long way.

I stand corrected.  A Vikings win doesn't necessarily lock Seattle out of the #5 spot, but it does help.  I guess I didn't do enough simulations.  That said, the Skins shouldn't be scared of the Seahawks.  They're good but not great.  They just lost again at home and their OL isn't the best.  Plus there's the revenge factor as well.

Collinsworth is so uninformed. ON MNF claims rookie Hunter leads all rookies with 6 sacks. Wrong Preston Smith has 7. If your going to boldly throw out stats you need to be correct!

Collinsworth is Joe Buck light.  He likes to makes statements to get a reaction from his buddy Al.  They both have googly eyes for teams like the Patriots and Dal@ss.  Not as unbearable as Buck, but still annoying.
