TimmySmith
I am hoping by then it will not matter if the Eagles win. I am hoping we win our next 2 games and we have the Div title wrapped up. This thread is all about hope. The Div title is easier to see than a WC spot, but envision this. If the Giants and Vikes lose this weekend, the Skins playoff "hopes" are increased by a Giant win next week, even if the Skins lose to Philly. TheGoodBits
In reality, probably. Statistically, the Skins can make the WC. Well not really because we'd have to win out. And if we win out, we win the division. So no wildcard.

I think the Eagles, Giants and Boys loose this week and we win. We then win against the Eagles so it doesn't matter what happens after that I believe. TimmySmith
Well not really because we'd have to win out. And if we win out, we win the division. So no wildcard. 2 more wins is 8-8. The Skins 8-8 would trump Sea and Minn's 8-8.
BatteredFanSyndrome
2 more wins is 8-8. The Skins 8-8 would trump Sea and Minn's 8-8. Technically, yes. However for Seattle to go 8-8, Russell Wilson and a few of their defenders would need to have season ending injuries occur in the 1st quarter of their game against the Browns on Sunday. spaceman47
From the title, I thought this was going to be a thread on who we match up with in the playoffs. I had no idea it was even possible to make the wild card. So you assume Seattle and Minnesota crap out the rest of the season along with everyone else that are in the hunt? My head hurts. I'll take it, if it falls in our laps though.

hail2skins
My main thing is win at least the next two games. If we're 8-7 and happen to clinch the division after Philly and want to blow off the Dallas game, I'm ok with that. However, if we drop one of the next two to achieve our 8th loss, my enthusiasm for the playoffs is going to significantly diminish.
skinsfan35yrs.
Sorry, I'll be rooting for the Vikings to kick the Giants' collective asses all over Gophers Stadium next week. same here
Stefanskins
No one is talking about Wild Card implications and I will take the playoffs no matter how they come. Minnesota is not so much of a long shot. Home against the Giants
Riggo-toni
Ugh. I frankly don't want to get in like that as a wildcard. If we win the division, we get a home game, and anything can happen. Otherwise, forget it. If we can't beat Chip's Dips on the road in the regular season with the season on the line, no need to go any further. ExoDus84
Easy. Root for seacawks to lose, and Viqueens to win. I'd much rather play a home game against the queens.
Momma There Goes That Man
Yeah we need to root hard for the Vikings to win out and hope Seattle slips up against the Cardinals and Rams, at least one of them. I pray we can somehow avoid the curb stomping at FedEx by Seattle in the wildcard game. I'd much prefer death by Peterson and Bridgewater over violent messy death by Seattle
skinsfan35yrs.
As for me, this week I am using my energy to focus on rooting for the Redskins, Jets over the pukes, Panthers over the vagiants, and the Cardinals over the feebles next week :The Redskins , Bills over the pukes and Vikings over the vagiants The last week of the regular season: The Redskins, and a tie between the feebles and the vagiants
quettefan
Me too. I hate the Giants more than any other team. My dream is for the Giants to loose all 3 remaining games and fire Tom Coffin the day after the season ends. agree, after that **** <STAFF EDIT, RULE 6, DON'T CIRCUMVENT THE PROFANITY FILTERS, MEMBER WARNED> Mara pulled (in cahoots with Goodell) taking away 36 million in salary cap penalty over 2 years, I've hated the Giants more than even Dallas
TimmySmith
I'll root for any team that helps the Skins make the playoffs and I am pretty sure that means rooting for the Giants at least once in the next 3 weeks. Hopefully twice.
skins island connection
The Rams are playing tough football; I could see them upsetting Seattle, and I can see Arizona beating them as well. But if Arizona has things locked up, they'll prob rest players so they will prob lose that game. But yes, nothing matters unless the Redskins take care of their own business first. Arizona needs to stomp Eagles hopes of anything, cause disruption between Chip and the Eagles, and the Giants just fall down like they've been doing, and of course GO J E T S JETS JETS JETS. TimmySmith
Update. Assume the Skins win the division. If the Seahags and Viqueens lose their final 2 and Atlanta wins it's final 2. The Skins host the Falcons in round 1. Falcons face Carolina and New Orleans in final 2. Keep the faith.

Thirtyfive2seven
Playoff losses in the following years to one team: Qwest Field Divisional January 14, 2006 Seattle Seahawks L, 10–20 11–7 Qwest Field Wild Card January 5, 2008 Seattle Seahawks L, 35–14 9–8 Oh great, we get to play them at home finally! Wild Card January 6, 2012 Seattle Seahawks L, 24-14 10-7 Wild Card January ? 2016 Seattle Seahawks? NO THANK YOU! FFS please some other team win some games or lose em so we don't have to play Seattle ever again. I can't stomach watching that **** again!!! And that is the most likely scenario sadly... There are some scenarios where we would play the Vikings, Packers, OR Falcons at home: Falcons scenario (Highly Unlikely) but how awesome would a Seahawks vs. Packers playoff game be?? I'm voting for this one because I think the Redskins can destroy the Falcons this time: http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine/_/results/400791508~2~400791651~2~400791689~1~400791683~1~400791610~1~400791614~1~400791691~1~400791687~1~400791659~1~400791654~1~400791648~1~400791603~2~400791620~2~400791617~1~400791644~1~400791645~2~400791515~1~400791575~2~400791563~1~400791538~2~400791518~2~400791528~1~400791521~1~400791569~2~400791571~2~400791525~1~400791531~1~400791565~2~400791578~1~400791535~1~400791607~2 Vikings scenario (Unlikely) http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine/_/results/400791508~2~400791651~2~400791689~1~400791683~2~400791610~1~400791614~1~400791691~1~400791687~1~400791659~1~400791654~1~400791648~1~400791603~2~400791620~2~400791617~1~400791644~1~400791645~2~400791515~1~400791575~2~400791563~2~400791538~2~400791518~2~400791528~1~400791521~1~400791569~2~400791571~2~400791525~1~400791531~1~400791565~2~400791578~1~400791535~1~400791607~2 Packers scenario (unlikely) http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine/_/results/400791508~2~400791651~2~400791689~1~400791683~2~400791610~1~400791614~1~400791691~1~400791687~1~400791659~1~400791654~1~400791648~1~400791603~2~400791620~2~400791617~1~400791644~1~400791645~2~400791515~1~400791575~2~400791563~2~400791538~2~400791518~2~400791528~1~400791521~1~400791569~1~400791571~2~400791525~1~400791531~1~400791565~1~400791578~1~400791535~
