For some reason I think we'll see a lot of change-over in that department after the draft regardless of how Scot feels the draft turned out. I feel like he's gonna want a few of his own people working with/for him and not the league-wide unknowns that are the Redskins scouting dept. When he was hired, it was too late to make a lot of change there but I'm sure there will be different faces come draft time 2016.

Well I do expect some turnover and I do expect him to bring in some people he's comfortable with.  What I'd like to see is a few people on their way out (shows that he's evaluated their work and held them accountable) and bring in a LOT of people (because I firmly believe we could use more resources in scouting).  If he tosses everyone out and brings in all new people, it doesn't really tell us if it was because he just wants his own guys or if he did any real evaluation of how the scouts currently in place are doing.

 

I'm guessing I'm just hopeful there is a sound process in place in that department.

I'm a Terp and all. But Diggs has a rep for being injured. He might be 6 feet tall, but its a small 6 feet. He could break in as a hell of a PR/KR. 3rd/4th/5th round pick I'm guessing.

@john_keim I agree "team kept competing" but scary thought considering they lost 4 of last 5 by double digits & got legit blown out 3 times.

My guess is that it has something to do being at the combine and seeing that image from post #6921.

 

I know I'm not feeling particularly well after coming back from lunch and seeing that.

 

I mean is that guy even wearing pants or did his thighs absorb them?

I'd qualify this. I think the defense quit sometime pretty soon after the bye. There was just too little try there.  I think the whole team quit for a few games too, but I think there the fire was somewhat reignited over the last few games.

The thing is that in Tampa his rep was that he wouldn't draft players with injury history, which makes the whole Tracy Porter signing kinda curious.  Maybe it only applies to draft picks and not FA signings?  I don't know, but the fact that medical history is towards the top of the list for Bruce isn't a surprise.

 

I think that it's fine for him to have it at or near the top, but he just needs to actually be good at it.  It doesn't matter what his priorities are when he's had such a bad history here with injuries to his acquisitions.  I don't follow other teams as much as ours, but it does feel like our injury report can be a little excessive when it comes to those with an injury history or approaching an age where injuries are more likely.

I hope the changes include:

-more run focused

-more play action

-more screen game/RB passing game

I have an irrational hatred of screens. Always disliked them, but after Zorn used them on 40% of pass plays, I really started to hate them.

I do like throwing to the RB though. Especially on wheel routes.'

Preference thing. Some screens are ok. But I prefer to think of them as gadget or special plays.
