Welcome from Lucas Oil Stadium. When the schedule first came out, this looked be the real deal game between Andrew Luck & RG3, as oppossed to a Pre Season game at FedEx during their rookie season. Unfortuneately, lots has changed since the 2012 season. RG3 has now been injured twice, & benched twice (by two different coaches). The jury is so far out with him, that right now, it's on speculation if he'll be here next year or if he's done in DC.

I had said on tha twitta last week, while walking off the the field in San Fran, that RG3 had not one but two final drives to win that game & didn't. And that you bench him if you ever want to win a game again. With his benching, you can forget playing for Draft position. Gruden is still trying to win another game.

Murf & I have had a running a joke going this weekend that simly went Go Colt Go. The local Colts fans haven't been able to pick up on it. I'm guessing they're basic. ;)

ANNOUNCEMENT OF INACTIVES

INDIANAPOLIS – The Washington Redskins have announced the following inactives and lineup changes for today’s game against the Indianapolis Colts:

The Redskins declared the following players as inactive:
o No. 8 QB Kirk Cousins
o No. 15 WR Aldrick Robinson
o No. 30 CB E.J. Biggers
o No. 60 G Spencer Long
o No. 72 DE Stephen Bowen
o No. 74 T Tyler Polumbus
o No. 85 WR Leonard Hankerson

The biggest key today is to see if Colt can make this Offense look like a legit NFL Offense. Couple things I like about McCoy's game is he throws his receivers open, & his boot/rollout. Quick aqurate throws are a key in getting this offense going. Against Dallas in his firt start, Colt came out a bit to hyper & it took him a few series to get into a rhythem. He gets a weapon back today in Jordan Reed to compliment DJax & Garcon. Polumbus is out today, so that should also help McCoy. :)

Colts won the toss, got a decent return, & proceeded to turn the ball over on a sack/fumble by Kerrigan & reccovered by Hatchcer. Skins end upsettling for 3. Next Colts drive, Breeland tips a pass from Luck, picked by Clark. Skins get Colt sacked & not much else. Colts drive for 7 on their 3rd drive. Skins drive ends with McCoy with a GREAT pocket & incomplete to Roberts. Colts start their drive from their 5. Baker stops the run for a loss of 1. Colts run Richardson to the left for 2. Luck pass broken up by Keenan. Skins should get good field position from this punt. 58 yard punt returned for 11 yards. Skins starting from their 47. HAVE to get 7 here. False start followed by a sack on McCoy,9 yard pass completion to Reed & Skins are back to the 46 yard line. End of the First quarter.

Skins punt it outta the endzone to start the 2nd Quarter. Colts take over at the 20. After a couple plays, Herron rips the Skins D for 29 yards & a touchdown. 14-3 coltS. Redskins have left anywhere between 11 & 18 points off the field so far today. Meanwhile, the Giants are currently up 14-0 on the Jags. So much for that last place tie in the Division. We're gonna own last place all by ourselvers in about 2 more hours. Alf starts thgis drive for a loss of 4. McCoy incomplete to Garcon. McCoy gets sacked & ends that drive. After the punt return, Colts start onthe other side of the 50 in Redskins territorry. Skins get a break as Luck is almost sacked, passes to a WIDE open Breener who drops the pass. Starting to get tired of hearing Luck to Fleener. Even with the QB change, this team continues to play BAD football. Back from the tv timeoutr & Luck hits a 25 yard pass to the 3. Luck rols, rolls, rolls right & throws a TD. 21-3 coltS. 9 plays for 68 yards on that drive. 6:53 left in the 2nd quarter. Roberts out of the endzone to the 16. McCoy to Garcon for no gain. McCoy ties a 30 yard pass thta's picked off. Defense called for holding. Skins get a lucky break here. McCoy to Moss for 13. Skins burn their 2nd timeout. Back from the break & the Skins finally start to put a drive together. Morris with the TD but theres a flag. Holding on DJax. McCoy over the middle to Helu for the 21 yard TD. Skins down 21-10 with 1:59 left in the half. Colts fart around a few plays & fumble. Skins recover. Again they NEED to get 7 here. 1:06 in the half & Skins start the 2nd half receiving. Colts D called for a penalty, gives the Skins a first down.McCoy to Garcon incomplete. Ball was about a step in front of him. McCoy sacked at mid field. Skins burn their last timeout.. 3rd down Redskins ball 49 seconds left in the half. McCoy to DJax for 4. Fourth down Skins punt. Colts called for running into the kicker. Declined. Colts ball at the 11. Cots kneel to end the first half.

8 plays 80 yards to open the second half, lost DJax to a leg contusion & punctuate the drive with McCoy evading 3 separate defenders for a TD pass to Paulsen who jumps into the endzone untouched. Skins down 21-17. Cribbs is a helluva return guy for Indy. 33 yard return where the Skins get called for holding on the kickoff. Colts run for 2. Luck runs 5. 3rd down. Kerrigan is down on one knee after making the stop on Luck's run. 3rd & 3. Luck DEEP for the 52 yard TD strike. 28-17 Colts. Compton & Kerrigan both questionable to return. DJax back in & gets 11 yard pass for a first down. McCoy overthrows Garçon by a step. AGAIN. Screen pass to Helu for 2 yards. 3rd down. McCoy to Reed for a 4th & inches. Skins going for it. Colts burn a timeout. Expect the Skins to try to draw Indy offsides for the first down & punt if it doesn't work. Nope. Instead Morris whiffs a block & McCoy is sacked, fumbles, & Indy recovers & scores 35 TD. You can't make this ish up. 35-17 Colts. Roberts takes the touchback. Keystone Kops start at their 20. McCoy to Helu for 7. McCoy keeps it & runs for a first down. Three different flags fly. Skins called for holding. MMcCoy to Reed almost picked off. Garcon open deep downfield. McCoy to Reed for 229 yards. MMcCoy to DJax for the TD. 35-24 Colts. Skins went 6 plays, 80 yards for the score. Colts' VDavis is out with a concussion. SSkins have NO answer for Fleener. NONE. AT. ALL. Burns the D for a 73 yard TD pass. 42-24 Colts. FIve yard pass 2nd down.. Pass again for the first down. PPass over the middle compleete to Reed for 16 yard game. QQuick 1 step drop npass to DJax for 9 yards. Deep corner shot to DJax, 3 flags thrown for pass interference on the D.. DJax is being helped off the field. Ugh. MMorris to the right side for a gain of 4. MMcCoy to ROberts, over his head, D called for holding. 11st &goal at the 6. MMcCoy to Reed, down short of the goal line. 2nd & 1 Morris cant get it in. 3rd & goal. Morris STILL ca't get in. FG team taking the field. End of the 3rd. SSkins went for it & it goes off the fingertips of Reed. COlts take over from their 2. LLuck actually over throws Fleener this drive & Colts are punting out of their endzone. SSkins take over at thye Colts 48. MMcCoyto Reed gain of 30. Morris run of 7 stopped our old buddy Dirty 30. McCoy stares down Roberts in the corner endzone allowing them to break it up. Pass to Garcon is incomplete..Skins settling for a FG here. & it's good. 42-27 Colts. 3rd down & Luck tosses it for a 79 yard TD. 49-27 Colts. Remember thos 11-18 points the Skins left on the field back in the first quarter? This game SHOULD be closer then the blowout its becoming. 3 & 27 from the Skins own 3. JEEZ. McCoy comple to Tana for 10. Skins punt, Colts will continue to score at will. And next week we get to face the Rams. Where, you know, the Colts will still be scoring on this D.

Actually saw these guys last week in San Fran as well as here today.

That's next level.

I expect the Redskins to keep it close and sucker us in - and then lose in the most creative, heart-breaking way possible.

Definitely would like to see the offense progress as a unit and would like to see some of the depth get some run and play well in the secondary.

Geez, it sounds like a preseason list, eh?

No injuries!

That's next level.

.....

I shudder to think just how many more miles I'd be getting through each season if I'd been born an American and not a Liverpudlian.

Hell knows I do more than the average American would believe sanely possible as it is as you know all too well..

Been called up to give evidence at the inquest in the NY BTW which is scaring the living piss out of me but that's for another thread.

Hail.

Not making any predictions about Colt either way. I think those saying he will suck and is not the answer are as foolish as those saying he will fix the offense

Lets wait and see and hope for the best

My ideal scenario today is that we ge into a shoot out and lose at the very end
