The running game remains the staple of the Skins attack, and McCoy completes enough short-to-medium passes to keep the Colt defense honest. D.Jackson sells enough moves to Landry to be open enough times that Colt manages to connect with him one time for an electrifying score. Morris gets a score, Helu the other. The Luck to Hilton connection gives the Skins fits, but the rest of the Colt receiving corps has a quiet day. Our front seven do put enough pressure on Luck, to keep him from doing a lot of damage in the first half, but he starts clicking more in the second half. The Colts RB, Richardson looks average, except for a vulture TD around our goal-line. Bottom Line: The Colts aren't that good to be able to take any game lightly; but they're human, and since they're playing the Redskins, they let their focus sag for a bit. Washington surprises them by grabbing a fat lead during the first half, and the Skins running game allows 'Gruden & Co.' to keep Luck off the field just long enough to preserve a narrow Skins win. Gruden's post-game presser is full of irony and contradictions saying "Colt just needs to keep playing to get those rep's to become a better passer". Im hoping he does this well. Die Hard Positivity....Efficient 8-12 play drive capped by an Almo TD on first possession. While the kicking team is putting up the extra point Mccoy saunters by the defense w/ a hand full of play breakdown sheets, and says something like this..."we got more work to do, Go get my damn ball."
