Captain Wiggles
Yeah Buc-ees is what folks are raving about coming to the Carolinas. Sposta be one built in Mebane NC which is pretty much the middle of nowhere between Greensboro and Durham. Buddy of mine stop at the one recently built in SC. Said it was madness. 🤣
TradeTheBeal!
Buc-ee’s is not without its charms, but it’s a big to-do getting in and out. Not recommended if you’re trying to make good time on your road trip.

China
Olive Garden worker in N.J. tests positive for Hepatitis A. Diners urged to get vaccine. A food handler at an Olive Garden restaurant in Gloucester County tested positive for Hepatitis A, county health officials said Thursday. The employee at the Olive Garden at 1500 Almonesson Road in Deptford worked while infected between Dec. 26 and 30, according to the announcement. Hepatitis A is a viral illness with symptoms including abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, tiredness, poor appetite, jaundice and dark urine, county officials advised. Symptoms usually appear within two to seven weeks after exposure. Anyone who previously received a Hepatitis A vaccine is not at risk, the county said. Those who are unvaccinated face a low risk, but the risk may be lowered further by getting vaccinated within two weeks of exposure, officials said. Those who are unvaccinated and believe they may have been exposed are encouraged to contact their health care provider. The county is working with the restaurant to vaccinate potentially exposed co-workers, officials said. The county health department conducted full inspections of the restaurant in March 2023 and on Wednesday, and the business received satisfactory ratings in both cases, according to the county. stoshuaj
Another temple of ****ty food is finally circling the drain: Nearly 100 Red Lobsters marked ‘closed’ on restaurant site: See the full list I didn’t bother to post the link bc I’m guessing no one really cares about Red Lobsters shutting down. But of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that yes, a couple of the locations are in Fl. The conversation must have gone something like: hey, remember when we stood in line for Olive Garden in Time Square instead of going to Little Italy? Yeah Ok, let’s also go to a ****ty seafood chain restaurant while we’re in Florida! Edited May 15 by stoshuaj

It's like my favorite BBQ place...nobody knows about it, but it seems everyone does because they run out of stuff on the daily. It's the place to be. (I don't know what they do with the breading for the fried okra, but it's AMAZING.)

Dont Taze Me Bro
The last time I ate at Olive Garden had to be back in 1999 or 2000. And I don't recall ever actually eating at a Red Lobster, if I did, it had to be early 90s and once.
skinsmarydu
Hubby & I took 'em on for Endless Crab Legs once. He asked the server for a bowl of extra butter. She brought him this little souffle cup...he said, "No, I mean a bowl of butter." Because back then, we would crack (and he knew how to get every little shred out) and throw everything in the butter, then just eat it out of one big bowl. (Rednecks, unite!) I could hear her yelling at the cooks, "We've got a live one out here, y'all..." And I haven't been in an Olive Garden since the 90s. Matter of fact, my buddy who traveled with Steve Harris for a part of his British Lion Florida tour recently took me there for dinner back then because I paid for everything at Lolla that year... yeah, the Zima was all on me!!! 🤮
Simmsy
I have family in Massachusetts, whenever they visit, we go to Red Lobster. Its a bit of an ongoing joke, but they really don't have seafood chains up there.
