DCranon21
For all of my 24 fans. It's an event series. But who cares, Jack is back Just days after Fox canceled Kiefer Sutherland drama Touch, the actor is returning to Fox to reprise his role as Jack Bauer in a 24 limited series. The continuation of the series -- which spanned 192 episodes and a TV movie from 2001-10 -- will be produced by its former showrunner, Howard Gordon (Homeland). Like the original series, the 12-episode reboot, dubbed 24: Live Another Day, hails from 20th Television and Imagine TV's Brian Grazer with Gordon's banner Teakwood Lane on board to co-produce. Fox will bow the limited project in May 2014. "24 compressed over 12 weeks, Jack is back," Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly told reporters early Monday during a conference call ahead of the network's upfront presentation. The executive noted 24 will likely mark Fox's first limited run series with the potential for additional closed-ended stories. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/24-returning-fox-as-event-521653
TD_washingtonredskins
Nice...one of my three is coming back!! At one point, I had the honor of following Friday Night Lights, Lost, and 24 at the same time. I've been in a television void since they all went off the air right around the same time. Springfield
I'm not really excited about this for some reason. I loved the original but I don't really know about this one. It says to me that Fox is running out of ideas. Like a lame movie reboot.
Redskin4ever
I'm so ready for this. I can't believe I've had to wait a year for this. I am so pumped.
big#44
I can't help but think that if this 12 episode run is hugely successful that they won't bring the show back full time. FOX isn't exactly killing it right now with that type of demographic.

ixcuincle
That was awesome. It's great to have this show back. So much tension again and action scenes.
Warhead36
Was awesome, although the chick killing the dude at the end of the 2nd episode was a little predictable.

TheItalianStallion
It was solid. Better than seasons 6 or 8, but still nothing to blow me away......yet. Has potential, though.

Dont Taze Me Bro
I thought it was great. It's delivering like old school 24 so far. And I don't care what anyone says, the best 24 episode ever was season 2 when they brought Jack back in, he shoots the one prisoner they have, then says "I need a hacksaw and duffle bag." Also in the one season finale when they were in that baseball stadium and he had the guys neck, ran up the wall, flipped and broke it. Too ****ing sweeeeeeeet. Bliz
Pretty good. But, how about making it take more than 3 seconds for blonde analyst to discover the defective time stamp? The opening chase scene really showed kiefer's age. He doesn't look fast. At all.

And I'm not saying take half the season. Just Go somewhere else for 10 min and then come back to her. Enough time to suggest she had to do a little work, and that it wasn't a glaringly obvious defect that the other intelligence analysts had to be incompetent to miss. It was literally one glance at the paper and bam, done, and took me out of the moment. Had to roll my eyes at how quick it was
Redskin4ever
Refresh my memory: Other than Chloe, Heller and Audrey, were any of the other characters on Monday night's broadcast part of any previous seasons? Not that I could see. Maybe some minor character whose name we don't even know was in there. But all the major players seemed to be new with the exception of the 4 you mentioned.
