clskinsfan
Disgusting. Dude can play. Pats probably got him for a mid round pick.
CRobi21
https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/264097935762006016 Well there goes a guy many here had their eyes on in the offseason.
SemperFi Skins
Oh, so you mean to tell me this is how amazing teams win and keep winning? Go figure. I bet we didn't even make a call and inquire about a trade, it would only make sense becuase of the likely suspension for DHall. Oh well, at least we have Ma-doo-doo Williams. ddub52
I heard they got him for a 6th rounder. I know he could be a headache but there is minimal risk. Maybe Raheem didn't want him

SemperFi Skins
Yeah, because we have lots of draft picks and tons of cap room to make a deal. We had at least a mid round pick to spare for a legit starting CB with experience from 3 of our office personnel... DogofWar1
EDIT: Doing a hard edit because Talib didn't go for a 6th, but rather for a 4th (with a 7th going to the Pats). That's a little better than purely for a 6th, and I can understand why Shanahan and Allen would stay away if a 4th was involved for a guy who was only going to play in 7 games before becoming a FA. Especially considering we're not really in contention for a playoff spot. A 4th rounder for an upgrade that gives you a SB shot? Worth it. A 4th for an upgrade when you're probably not even in playoff contention? Probably not. That being said, I still hope he ends up here for cheap in the offseason. He's a solid CB, and should come at below market value for someone of his ability, assuming the Pats don't get at him first. I really hope they cut him loose at the end of the year and he comes here for cheap. I can't imagine anyone paying him top dollar, and the FA market is somewhat weak, and without a 1st we need to be in on the bidding hard.
GoSkins0721
We had at least a mid round pick to spare for a legit starting CB with experience from 3 of our office personnel... 'nuff said. He still has 1 game left on his 4 game suspension. This is the last year of his contract. So he's a 7 game rental by the Pats for a mid-round pick. Murphs56
If we are serious about winning now, I would've done it. It probably wouldn't have been hard to convince him to stay with our QB
CRobi21
More from Schefter: Bucs traded CB Aqib Talib and a seventh-round pick in 2013 NFL Draft to Patriots in exchange for their fourth-round pick in the 2013 Draft. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/264108256757153792

Bang
There's one that got away. Young player, and one who we've had first hand experience with how well he can play. ~Bang

He's a remarkable talent and still young to learn from his mistakes. He's a first round, legit starting corner and heavy hitter that the Pats just stole. Cools47
At first I was disappointed that the Skins didn't at least try and make a play for Talib, but after seeing it was for a 4th rounder I'm pretty glad they didn't. He's probably gonna hit the market in the offseason anyways..

He hasn't shown the ability to mature and I don't know why he would suddenly do so? For a team like the Patriots a mid-to-late round pick doesn't mean much but for the Redskins it means a lot. Hiro
For a 4th rounder, and how low we are on draft picks, I'm okay we didn't trade for him. Seeing as we were already burned in the secondary by a guy with issues (Tanard Jackson), I'm okay with passing on him.
