88Comrade2000
I saw Richard Jewell. It was alright. What was true and what wasn't, hmmm. The controversy over the AJC reporter portrayed by Oliva Wilde is hurting the film. She basically portrayed the reporter as someone who slept around to get news for her stories. The actual reporter is deceased but everyone who knew her, says this never happened. I'll give the movie a B.
Warhead36
Knives Out is awesome. Great twist on the classic whodunit genre. 9/10.

I’m sure thats how he really thinks women get stories.
Fan since a Fetus
I saw Knives Out last weekend. It was ok. For some reason, I went in expecting it to be more humorous. It wasn’t very funny and That must have clouded my judgement.
Spaceman Spiff
Rambo Last Blood. A+. Fantastic. Bravo. Yes, it's predictable. Yes, it's not a great story. Yes, the acting isn't Academy Award level. But it's like a 70 year old Stallone setting up booby traps and playing a ****ed up Vietnam veteran version of Home Alone against some Mexican drug cartel types. What'd anyone expect, Othello or Hamlet? Edited December 17, 2019 by Spaceman Spiff
max21
Good boys - It was definitely funny, stupid storyline but the jokes were good. Not a kids movie and I’m glad I didn’t take my nephew to see it, but it’s weird because the actors are kids. Weird right
TradeTheBeal!
I finally watched Midsommar last night. Super creepy and very well made film.

What'd anyone expect, Othello or Hamlet? What was jarring was that it felt like it morphed into a horror/slasher/gore flick in the final act. Speaking of odd and disturbing combinations, I just went back and watched G.I. Joe the Movie (the original animated film). A franchise based on military and tactical weapons and capabilities fighting organized terrorists randomly went full-on Giger/Guyver/Cronenberg with Cobra-La. Insectoid and fungal monstrosities (and extreme body-horror) was an insane approach to explain Serpentor and Cobra Commander's origins. Mournblade
Rise of Skywalker: B-. Entertaining but messy. Inside Out: A-. What a little gem of a movie. Animation is terrific, story is great, Amy Poehler carries the movie as the lead character. Porco Rosso: A-. Another little gem. The story of an Ace WW1 Aviator who is cursed to look like a pig. Women are confused by this grotesque fellow who is also suave, charming and Oscar Wilde witty. And when his fellow aviators mock or insult him, he takes them down in dogfight combat. Great animated movie. Missing Link: B+. We're used to seeing Hugh Jackman play rough and tumble Wolverine, here he plays a refined English gentleman explorer, bent of finding the whereabouts of the Sasquatch. Great animation. 88Comrade2000
I gave The Rise of Skywalker an A. I’ll give Bombshell a solid B. The story of Roger Ailes me too downfall. The point of Fox News having all their female talent show plenty of leg, was spot on. Don’t know what in the movie was true and what was fiction for the movie. Still a damning portrayal of the propaganda network. Charlize Theron will get an Oscar nomination for playing Meghan Kelly. She looked and sounded like Meghan. Also, John Lithgow should get an Oscar nomination for playing Roger Ailes.

I'm not sure I would rank all those movies listed that high. Some of those are higher than ROS but some those are lower. They maybe all A movies, but there's A+, A, A-. To each his own. For me, ROS gets an A. Frankly, for me, it might be he best of the current trilogy. I say that with a straight face. 😄

The Evil Genius
Watched 3 movies over the 5hr flight each way to Maui. 🌴🌴 Ad Astra - Beautiful but slow film. Criminally underrated Brad Pitt acts his ass off. Stuber - Stupif and yet actually has a lot of funny stuff in it. Bautista the ginormous Filipino Greek god was decent but this is Kumail Nanjiani's film. Anyone see how ripped Kumail got recently for his role in The Eternals? Skyfall - I'm 2 Bond films behind sadly. I actually didnt like this one and was surprised it had such a decent score from Rotten Tomatoes. Hope Spectre is better. Lots of unique ideas and themes packed into it for a Bond movie and with Casino Royale, it is among the two best Bond films ever to me. spectre wasn’t good at all imo. It’s not because I would’ve been expecting Othello or Hamlet, but because I couldn’t stand seeing the equivalent of the cast of Cocoon fighting a Mexican drug cartel or cyborgs from the future while trying to figure out their Medicare provider and how to make a selfie with one-ah these newfangled phones. 7 hours ago, The Evil Genius said: Watched 3 movies over the 5hr flight each way to Maui. 🌴🌴 Ad Astra - Beautiful but slow film. Mournblade
Downton Abbey Movie: D+. Thats 2 hours of my life I want back. I give it a "+" only because Maggie Smith is her usual witty self, and Moseley has a couple of hilarious moments. Other than that, felt like a deleted episode of Downton Abbey. kfrankie
Spartacus. Thought Kirk Douglas was too old to play the lead role of gladiator/revolutionary. Decent overall story though and good performances.
Metalhead
Starship Troopers (1997). Damn this movie keeps getting better and better. Aging very well. Today's political/media environment makes the satire even more savage. And Jake Busey's teeth fight for top billing. The Sisko
Nah, I didn’t watch it at all. As with the latest Terminator flick, the whole idea was just laughable to me so there’s no way I was going to plunk down my hard earned $$$ or waste time on a movie I just couldn’t take seriously. I’m glad you enjoyed it though.🙂
