freetimmysmith
He is a problem. He has now missed 4 field goals in two games. I bet no other NFL kicker has done that in the same span. In 3 quarters of play today, Akers has missed 3 FGs. While that isn't 4 in two games there is still over 11 minutes to go and all of next week\ for him to tie Gano. Laxpunk2006
Kickers are a dime a dozen. Cut him this offseason. If that was the case we would have found a good kicker by now. We aren't any good anyway. I would rather keep riding it out with Gano to see if he improves.
Hailskins94
He simply isn't an NFL kicker. He doesn't have the mentality. He might have a big leg but he can't make a kick when the game is close, so a big leg means nothing. It's all mental with him which is a bad sign. Like someone said, he misses kick after kick that matters, and makes all of them once the game is out of hand. No good

GoDeep81
How much more of Gano does anyone really need to see? He's the equivalent of Rex, in that he can be real good, but come crunch time he'll more than likely let you down..

RichmondRedskin88
It didn't help that the ref froze him to fix the clock and then the cowboys froze him right after. He should have made atleast one though.
Renegade7
What is this his second year? He does miss a lot, but to our advantage, him kicking all those touchbacks is helping us have the best kickoff coverage unit in the league. He missed a couple long ones today, so again, if you get rid of him, you better find someone better. I feel we should hold on to him and continue to let him develop. We're already rebuilding, he's bought another year here in my eye...

LadySkinsFan
I think the fail in on the part of the offense to stall and make him kick very long field goals. He did make one that was 59 yards the other week. But having to kick and make 50some yard field goals week after week is not possible for everyone. Phixius
We'll find out won't we.I know who's next....another young kicker that's given a year to make an impact. If he don't, get rid of him and look for the next kicker and expect him to be Sebastian Janikowski. It's the same cycle every other year.
Skins3000
Long kicks by Gano but makeable. I agree though let the man develop this year because it makes no sense to replace him this season but next year like this year Gano will have competition. Honestly, the offense could have done a better job getting him closer.

They had 1st down from like the 35 and couldn't gain anything on three downs and didn't even line it up for him. Sad thing is everyone in my section thought it was good and then they just held their heads.
RySkins
If I'm not mistaken Gano lead the league in missed kicks last year and now has a comfortable lead in that department this year. This is not 1985 when NFL kickers made 70% of their kicks. Nowadays, most NFL kickers make a very high percentage. Yet the Skins are one of the only teams in the league that perennially lose games because of the field goal kicker. No sense cutting him now but bye-bye in the offseason Graham Gano. #98QBKiller
There are a whole slew of good kickers that are FAs next season, I suspect that we'll be making a move for one of them.
rumplestilskin
Gano missing that field goal may just set us up with bright future at QB. Thanks Gano! Keep missing game winners this year.
BleedBNG
If he would just pretend that the left side of the goal post is the middle... he might get one thru. Shoot, he's got the distance most of the time.
Redskins4ever
Both the offense and the defense played too hard to lose like that. Gano has to make those types of kicks when the game is on the line.
