I am very excited... Having not been born when this game was played, I have really only seen the one highlight from that game.

Did you not grow up w/ cable tv?

Thank god for NFL Films running on ESPN and now the NFLN for as long as I can remember.

I saw that Super Bowl live. You will enjoy watching it more than last year's regular season that is for certain.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to watching it in its entirety.

Yup and the quality is pretty much perfect for all three of them, of course they aren't HD, but they are real good, colors are still perfect, everything.

Which dvd is that?

It is called the Redskins greatest games. Three DVD set with all three super bowls. I also recommend the rivalry dvd with the cowboys so you can watch the 82 nfc championship and the super bowl back to back. Two best back to back weeks of Redskin football....EVER!!!

What's the rivalry dvd called and where can I get it? Does it show the entire '82 game? If the victory after that had not been their first Super Bowl win, I might be forced to say that the NFC championship game was the Redskins best game ever. Would love to see that game in its entirety. Of course, I can watch Dexter Manley run through Danny White over and over again, and never grow tired of that play. He (Manley) hit White so hard (and it didn't slow his momentum at all), it was as if White wasn't even there ... Great plays by D. Grant and M. Nelms come to mind, too. And RFK was rocking - what a game!! Ah, the memories ...

I was going to say, the DVD probably doesn't include all the original commercials, so the tape's going to be even more of the real experience.

That's too bad. I get a kick out of the car ads. It's amazing the crap they were pimping as cars in 1983. MisterPinStripe: When you watch it take a look at Charlie Brown's TD to seal it. Everyone talks about Riggo's run, Theisman knocking down the possible INT etc but to me that Brown TD was the forgotten play of that game. I get it Woodley sucked but without that TD the Skins only go up 7, assuming they make the FG, and the game was far from over.

Are you sure it's the game and not some awesome 1970's porn video?

Either way it's a plus :evilg:

Enjoy the game and watch out for the second biggest play of the game when Joey T turns defensive back and knocks a potential interception for a TD away for just an incompletion.

AGREED 100%. The NFC Championship was actually the best part of it, of course if we had lost to the 'fins it wouldn't feel that way now.

I'm hoping I get to re-live that at least once again in my life time!
