I don't think Ernie is smart enough, but I'm wondering if he tries to flip Ariza and Wall to the Lakers for Rondo, Ball, and filler. LeBron was all in for Ariza.

Hopefully he’s not smart enough to do something like that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was exactly how smart Ernie is.

I don't like the trade but it's not a disaster.  I'll miss Oubre but we were facing a potentially rough decision with him this summer.  Kid has cojones and so much potential.  He's a low IQ player.  I don't know how you fix that.  He sucks to play with on offense and he just hasn't become the kind of defensive player we hoped.

A lot of that could be due to the broken ****ing culture and suck ass defensive system we run.  We routinely trot out line ups that have zero ****ing chance at guarding anyone.

It's a ****ty trade but not a bad one, if that makes sense.  I was thinking about how badly we missed Ariza last week.  Getting him is a legit positive and breathes new life into the locker room.  But it ****ing sucks that we wasted Oubre and couldn't get him to develop into someone worth keeping.  And trading young for old is never beneficial long term.

Sato is the one to keep.  If the choice was between him and Oubre this summer, we made the right one.  Hopefully this move will give him a much bigger role on the team.  Gets Rivers's suck ass out of the way and gives us better forward play.  And maybe Troy Brown can get some goddamn run.  Hopefully Ariza will stay healthy and Otto will come back soon and we can stop playing Jeff Green.

Satoransky is absolute garbage, I imagine there are zero teams that would give more for Sato, in a deal or a contract, than Oubre. The Sato love in DC is an inexplicable phenomenon.

Well, if the trade goes through, we'll have 13 players under contract plus the two guys on two-way deals.

Two open roster spots.  Otto and Dwight Howard injured.  Call up Devin Robinson and give him some run?  He was only the best guy on the SL team and our best athlete in the front court.

Yes! Let Robinson play, please. Dump everyone & rebuild, hopefully fortuitous ping pong ball placement helps us luck into RJB. The only hope is starting over.

I don’t think Oubre and Rivers were the most coachable guys in that locker room to begin with.  No one is going to be able to tell them **** after this.

However, Ernie the undying will survive this.  It will take a Van Helsing to take him down.

Was a terrible trade anyway

That’s not the problem now.  You can’t trade two guys while they’re playing, allow them to be blindsided by the press in the locker room, and then expect all to be happy in the morning after it falls apart.  He’s taken a bad locker room and made the situation worse.

I can't stop laughing at this.  Can you imagine how ****ing funny the conversations must have been?

Ernie: "alright so you're getting Selden and Rivers and Brooks"

Sarver: "Cool.  Wait a second, which Brooks?"

Ernie: "Brooks"

Sarver: "There's more than one, which one?"

Ernie: "Don't worry about it."

Sarver: "We need to know which one."

Ernie: "... Scott?"

Once I finally get over this I'm going to be depressed.  Because we just ****ing tipped our hand with Oubre and torpedoed his value.

Ernie really needed those additional second rounders for future ass saving trades for when he ****s up this next offseason.

Marc Spears outlined a Wall a trade on ESPN:

Wall to San Antonio for Pau Gasol, Dejounte Murray, and Lonnie Walker.

If we're trading Wall, this is the deal we should pull the trigger on.  I can root for Wall in San Antonio.  He can elevate them.  And getting back two good young guards is a worthwhile long term return.  Maybe they're not the same as they were pre-injuries, but maybe they are.  They were good prospects.

I can root for a Derozan, Wall, and Pops trio. I didn't wanna trade Wall, but at this point... I don't care anymore. Whatever gets Ernie fired the fastest is what I'm in favor for.

I'm trying to figure out who ****ed up this three team deal.  Someone is lying about the Brooks thing.  I want to say it was Ernie either being stupid or trying to pull a fast one.  But I read Memphis sent Phoenix Dillon Brooks's medical.  I can not figure out why they would lie to pretend like they never intended to deal him.  They got cold feet and wanted an excuse to back out late?

Also, I can't figure out why Brooks is a deal breaker.  He's like the third best player in the trade.  I also can't figure out why Phoenix would want Brooks and Selden with Rivers instead of just trading for Oubre instead.  The extra year of control?

My guess is that Phoenix would accept Oubre + Rivers for Ariza but we won't.  We wanted the second rounders.

Also maybe we felt bad sending Kelly to an even worse team than ourselves.
