CrypticVillain
THIS was a bad lost. I feel like we played a bad lineup in the beginning of the fourth.

Destino
Bad loss. This team might be buying too much of their own hype. The effort they showed before the allstar break is gone and has been gone for so long now that there is no certainty it will return.

TradeTheBeal!
Yeah, 7-5 since the break and it could/should easily be 4-8.

Warhead36
Missed tonight's game...good thing it looks like. But we were probably due a little bit of regression. I still think 50 wins is doable.

Skin'emAlive
It's official... Jennings sucks. His defense is abysmal, and his offense is barely credible at best. Why has our defense been so bad? Sato and Oubre are on the bench and Jennings and bogs are taking their place. Jennings has to sit at this point. He's been just awful every night since he came here. We would be better off playing Thomas at backup point, and giving oubre just a few more minutes. Sato/bogdonavic/oubre/Morris/mahinmi.

TradeTheBeal!
Not sure how we lay this on Jennings. He's racking up assists by getting the ball to Bogs and Ian, and that's exactly what he's coached to do. If you watched that game last night, or most any recent game, you know that we simply aren't getting enough from Morris and Gortat lately. Morris is especially concerning because the effort and body language doesn't really pass the eye test. I suppose we will learn all we need to know going forward and into the playoffs. Not panicking yet...

Llevron
I was pretty disappointed in the fans at the game too. We needed that game and I didnt hear them very much. We are down by a few in the 4th and noooooooooooooo noise. Not cool. The players peep that stuff too.
Popeman38
Jannings has been a tremendous upgrade over Burke. TREMENDOUS. Rubio ALWAYS gets up to play us, like we did him wrong or something. Brussini scoring and hitting from 6 feet behind the arc is just ludicrous. Rubio is 35% from 3 and Brussini is 21%. Both shot ridiculous percentages against the Wiz. EDIT: Of course, the Wiz had a chance to put the Mavs away when they went up 12, but our bench against Yogi and Dirk gave that lead away in 5 trips... Not panicking yet... Gortat has not brought any defense to this team for 2 years. There is no reason to think he's going to any time soon either. He is what he is. Sure Jennings is getting some assists... but his defense is possibly the worst on the team. He is wildly reaching on every possession; sometimes 3-4 times on the same guy! And he's terrible on switches. On top of that, his shot is way off. Sure Morris is hit and miss, but thats kind of what you are going to get with him. We cant live with Jennings leaving wide open perimeter shooters on just about every possession. Sato should be playing the 1 over him, just as he should have been playing over Burke. Our defense has been garbage since he came in. Chalked it up to growing pains, but here we are and he isnt even close to gelling with this team. CrypticVillain
There's no way I'm blaming everything on Jennings. He's doing well enough. Our struggles have been a team effort. From coaching to players. Yes, like TTB said, Morris and Gortat (ESPECIALLY GORTAT! Bamma has been really irking me) but it seems like everybody outside of Wall, Beal, Otto, and Jason Smith have been playing mediocre at best. I hope Brooks has some adjustments in his sleeves. Not saying what he's doing is bad, but it seems like they're are some lineups that can be tweaked to maximized it's efficiency.
TradeTheBeal!
We had 5 offensive rebounds on 42 missed shots against a team that started Dirk Nowitzki at C. 4 of those came on one possession. We need more from the front court...badly.

Wonder if some of the guys are showing signs of fatigue. Edited March 16, 2017 by justice98
Warhead36
Brooks should have pulled a Pop and mass rested a bunch of guys in the Minnesota game and just punt that one. Sometimes you take a loss to ensure you're healthier and have better chance of winning later.

Im inclined to think he has some nagging injuries. Morris was flat-out fantastic in Jan/Feb. Again, no time to panic. For all the problems with last nights game, if Beal (4-12 from 3) shoots a little better we probably win.
