mavs are an awful club disgraceful

At least they give effort.

We've been the disgraceful team since the ASB.

Read your post wrong. But still.

39 pts. Disgraceful.

It's official... Jennings sucks. His defense is abysmal, and his offense is barely credible at best. Why has our defense been so bad? Sato and Oubre are on the bench and Jennings and bogs are taking their place.

Jennings has to sit at this point. He's been just awful every night since he came here. We would be better off playing Thomas at backup point, and giving oubre just a few more minutes. Sato/bogdonavic/oubre/Morris/mahinmi.

Not sure how we lay this on Jennings.  He's racking up assists by getting the ball to Bogs and Ian, and that's exactly what he's coached to do.  If you watched that game last night, or most any recent game, you know that we simply aren't getting enough from Morris and Gortat lately.

Morris is especially concerning because the effort and body language doesn't really pass the eye test.  I suppose we will learn all we need to know going forward and into the playoffs.  Not panicking yet...

Jannings has been a tremendous upgrade over Burke. TREMENDOUS.

Rubio ALWAYS gets up to play us, like we did him wrong or something. Brussini scoring and hitting from 6 feet behind the arc is just ludicrous.  Rubio is 35% from 3 and Brussini is 21%.  Both shot ridiculous percentages against the Wiz.

EDIT: Of course, the Wiz had a chance to put the Mavs away when they went up 12, but our bench against Yogi and Dirk gave that lead away in 5 trips...

Gortat has not brought any defense to this team for 2 years. There is no reason to think he's going to any time soon either. He is what he is.

Sure Jennings is getting some assists... but his defense is possibly the worst on the team. He is wildly reaching on every possession; sometimes 3-4 times on the same guy! And he's terrible on switches. On top of that, his shot is way off. Sure Morris is hit and miss, but thats kind of what you are going to get with him. We cant live with Jennings leaving wide open perimeter shooters on just about every possession. Sato should be playing the 1 over him, just as he should have been playing over Burke. Our defense has been garbage since he came in. Chalked it up to growing pains, but here we are and he isnt even close to gelling with this team.

There's no way I'm blaming everything on Jennings. He's doing well enough. Our struggles have been a team effort. From coaching to players. Yes, like TTB said, Morris and Gortat (ESPECIALLY GORTAT! Bamma has been really irking me) but it seems like everybody outside of Wall, Beal, Otto, and Jason Smith have been playing mediocre at best.

I hope Brooks has some adjustments in his sleeves. Not saying what he's doing is bad, but it seems like they're are some lineups that can be tweaked to maximized it's efficiency.

Those FT misses by Gortat and Morris loom large now...........

And Wall simply can't miss that first one at the end.

Morris has not been good since the calendar turned over to March.  Don't know what that's about.  Wonder if some of the guys are showing signs of fatigue.

Im inclined to think he has some nagging injuries.  Morris was flat-out fantastic in Jan/Feb.  Again, no time to panic.  For all the problems with last nights game, if Beal (4-12 from 3) shoots a little better we probably win.
