Devastate
I was interested in seeing the poll results.Right now 32 to 32. Thats a little crazy. With 7 saying both are overrated. I really think these 2 actors are very similar. Bruce Willis pulling ahead.. I knew people just needed to be reminded of Wild Wild West
Predicto
I have to give Willis credit. He is not just an actor, he is a movie STAR. One of the few people on the planet that grabs your attention when he is on the screen, even if his persona rubs you the wrong way. And the Die Hard series is the best flicks that either of them have made. But overall, Smith gets my vote. Bigger acting range, better humor, almost equal badassedness. Willis is pretty much still playing that same smartass character that he played in "Moonlighting," but sometimes with a tougher edge. Meanwhile, Smith in Ali or Pursuit of Happyness is completely different than Smith was in MiB or Independence Day.

The Tris
1. Sorry that is impossible to read. I tried to go back and switch the blue to white, but couldn't do it unless I went one by one. 2. Willis also has been an awesome supporting actor in a ton of good movies (I loved Lucky Number Slevin). Smith seems to only go for starring roles. Redskin4ever
It really depends on the role. Smith is much funnier and wittier in my opinion. So for a movie that allows that sort of humor to work, than it would be Smith. Willis is more the serious action type. Overall, I'd give a slight edge to Willis. But I wouldn't like Willis in a role where he was trying to make smart or funny comments.

bedlamVR
I think they are not the same at all . I like them both but for different reasons . If you look at their early careers there are similarities but Will Smiths career seems to be mirroring that of Tom Hanks with more academy nomination roles , and as an actor may have more range ... but Willis is the man, an old fashioned movie star, a modern day john wayne (okay maybe I am on crack but Wayne is a movie hero and had such little acting range it was crazy) and while it seems his career seems to be in a slump (though Cop out is surprisingly funny) but you have to say this : Die hard is one of the rare franchises that actually gets better with each sequal and the characters get deaper (ok ignore die hard 2) And Bruce Willis is just cool . How many quote from Will Smith films can you remember but the die hard YKMF or the Zeds Dead quote from pulp fiction stand up in movie lore . Plus Bruce Willis in the Gorillaz Video what more could be said ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIJICVkbyyM
Mufumonk
Willis made "Color of Night."For some reason' date=' that makes him a hero in my book. I like to judge actors based on how watchable they make a bad movie. Willis has made 156 lousy movies. But, he is strangely entertaining in most of them. When Will Smith makes a bad movie, it's often his fault.[/quote'] That movie is so hilariously bad. A patient kills herself in front of him and he can no longer see the color red because of the amount of blood.

Tweedr01
Did Will Smith get a role on The Expendables? No, wasn't even considered. While the movie may end up being terrible they picked the best heroes over the past FEW decades. That lineup is sick....but still, no Will Smith. SkinFaninOKC
I went with Bruce, Die Hard never should have had sequels. Perhaps Tarantino doesn't want Smith in any of his movies, something I believe alot of actors would like to do if asked.
