FAREWELL to the NFL Dwayne Haskins QB Ohio State
ArmchairRedskin replied to PCS's topic in The Stadium
I had reservations about Haskins before the draft. All the stuff everyone has heard. One year starter. Really good protection in college. Didn't show a whole lot of pocket mobility. That whole deal. However, he has looked really good to me in these preseason games. He moves well, throws well even when he's escaping pressure, seems to understand how to protect his body. Obviously we can't possibly know how fast he's grasping the offense, but he seems to know where the pressure is coming from and he's decisive. Plus he's got that rocket arm with a quick release. He's shown improvement with every -
I honestly doubt it. The owner is steadfast against it and legally, he can't be forced to change it. Public outcry will never reach the levels needed for it to affect change. The protests so far this year that we've heard about at various venues have been a joke. Nobody cares more than journalists, and that icludes the people that are supposed to be offended. Just as an aside, this morning at a local breakfast joint I overheard a group of older gentlemen saying that they liked the Redskins owner because he refused to change the name. Good times. Oh and because locations are gone, I'm

How do you figure? Are people gonna stop going to games? Are they gonna stop watching the team on TV? Will they stop buying the merch? I think you're being really naive. There's no legal way to force Snyder to change and there is really no feasible way that the Redskins name stops the team from staying one of top 3 most profitable franchises.

Wonder what kind of Karma the Cowboys are paying since they haven't done anything of note since 1995. Teams like the Browns, Falcons, Seahawks, Eagles, etc must really be in the Karma doghouse.

In order for that analogy to work, we'd all have to agree that the original use of the term "Redskin" was actually a slur. There is evidence that that term actually refers to warpaint as well as it just being the way Native Americans identified themselves. They referred to white people as whiteskins and black people as blackskins. Just a matter of fact term. There is no question in anyone's mind that the N word was a pejorative.

One good thing about the Ravens D is that they aren't ranked very high against the pass or run. 23rd in both categories. Redskins should have their opportunities.

I saw Ted yesterday. I felt like there were a few really great highlights, but overall it left a lot of yards on the field. There was so much more potential for a stuffed animal that comes to life humor. The third act was utterly predictable. I feel like Wilfred does the whole smoking pot with a furry animal bit a lot better. Wilfred is hilarious while Ted is pretty funny.
